Commercial Description:
Bottles for this are listed as Imperial Brown Goose but are the Bourbon Imperial Brown Goose

Please note that this is a Fulton creation of a blend of 2 Christmas ales aged in a bourbon barrel. The label calls it Imperial Brown Goose. Current version for Michael Jackson's Rare Beer Club is 8% and spent 9 months in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels.

Deep brown in colour, lingering averaged sized brown coloured head, some light lacing. The aroma is of bourbon, quite sweet, woody, alcohol, vanilla. The flavour is mildly sweet, lots of alcohol, lots of bourbon, some roast, vanilla. Sweet hot mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes very hot, lots of alcohol, lots of bourbon. This drinks way more than 8%, way too much bourbon as it seems to overpower every aspect of this beer.

750ml bottle shared by IPFreely, thanks Tim.

9/20/2008 tasting at toncatchers house, with whetheral, weeheavy, fordest, alohac, and Jason. Thanks for all the great beers and good times. I thought this was one of my favorites of the night. Very good aromas and flavors of oak and bourbon.

750ml bottle, 2006 version. Thanks to Immy for this one. Pours copper in color with brown head. Aroma of bourbon, sweet and malty. Taste bourbon, oak, caramel and roasted malt with clean finish.

2006 bottle shared at RBSG 08. Bourbon-esque nose. Pours dark amber with a medium body. Non sticky texture with lively fine carbonation. Flavor of pale malts, bread, caramel, and raisen. But these flavors seem to be overpowered by the bourbon and vanilla flavors. Good, but somewhat of a bourbon bomb if that’s your thing.

2006 Bottle. I had two of these a while ago before I started rating and I loved it...and I still do. Pours a dark cloudy brown with a medium tan head. Nice caramel, vanilla, and mainly Bourbon smell. The flavor was very sweet and smooth. Nice to see a beer that is only 8% pack such good flavor. The bourbon is very present. Aged well. This was my last bottle :(
