COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
we’re releasing Brettanomite, our final beer of the 25th Anniversary Series. The brewers hand-bottled a sour wheat that was aged 13 months in oak barrels with Brettanomyces, Lambicus, Bruxellensis and Lactobacillus (6.3%) It’s golden in color, has wild aromas of ripened stone fruit, a spicy tart flavor and a cleanly balanced finish.

Golden color, ripened stone fruit aroma, spicy tart flavor, clean finish

Bottle @ 10K + OT. Thanks, GT. Clear golden pour with a short lived white head. Light earthy funk along with lots of peach, leather, and lemon juice. Taste is interesting. Certainly sour, but also an oily, peanut butter finish. Leather, peach sweetness, and sour lemons. Light spice and citrus (orange).

>> Pours clear deep gold, fizzing out white soda foam. Nose is peanut butter, mushroom, musty, heavy funk, unclean. Taste is leathery, spicy, no acetic, sour peach, fuzzy peach skin. Quite the encompassing sour palate, heavy fruit leather and rind. Actually very nice.

Bottle. Pours very clear light yellow. Aroma of tart lactic acid and sour citrus (primarily lemon), and a touch of spice and farmhouse funk. Delicious taste of tart lemon and sweet orange, a light grassy hoppiness, slight wheat, and heavy acidity. Very prickly texture. Very balanced and refined; a real treat.
