3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at gi clybourn. Served as part of a taster flight... Pours a a mostly opaque reddish mahogany dark pour with medium red edges that certainly allows light to penetrate. Soft thin beige head quickly recedes leaving nothing after 10 minutes of settling... Aroma is fitting for the name with fresh pressed roasted coffee upfront which never seem to dissipate or let go. Defintely more coffee-like than beer which is ok by me... Flavors are a continuation of the same with the coffee taking precedence. Smooth and sweet through the middle with a very light level of coffee bitterness surfacing late. Lighter bodied and consistent with the style. Extremely coffee-centric but nice offering nonetheless.
