A pint from a growler thanks to xnoxhatex. I thought this might be good luck for the Bears, but it looks like they needed more than a beer to win the Superbowl. Orange amber in color, a little hazy with a small beige head. A light hoppy nose citrus, fresh malt, a little grainy, (probably due to the freshness and rapid speed they put this out for the big game). Light to medium bodied, malt, carmel, citrus. Although nothing that special a tasty beer for watching the game and drowning my sorrows.

Draught at Wriggleyville. Pours clear amber with an average light brown frothy head, somewhat lasting, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, nutty), heavy hops (flowers, pine, citrus) and average yeast (musty). Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation and an astringent finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness; minerals and citrusy hop flavor.

He said it was listed at the brew pub as an APA but it sure tasted like a brown ale. not much in the nose and a very toasted nut, cookie flavor. very uninspiring and unorginal but very drinkable nonetheless. perhaps if this beer was better the bears would have beat the colts.
