[Bottle] Alright, so a disclaimer up front, this bottle has some age on it. I just bought it at the store tonight though, so I’m rating it. Looks nice enough, with a slightly hazy golden pour topped with a nice white head that lingers well. Good start. Aroma is unusual, but not terrible. Fairly fruity, and mainly just cheap apple juice. Maybe some peach notes too. Taste is also fruity up front, with plum and apple, a metallic character (fades as it warms), and some yeast, all of which melds into slightly dusty, crackery malt (high point of the beer). Well, it isn’t too bad, especially considering the age. I’ll have to re-rate a fresh bottle some time though.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 superspak (778) - Michigan, USA - MAR 18, 2012
22 ounce bottle into tulip, bottled 5/7/2010. Pours hazy golden straw color with a small 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some nice spotty lacing on the glass, witha fair amount of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of big lemon, biscuit, apricot, apple, pear, grape, coriander, grass, floral, grain, light yeast spices, and a bit of alcohol. Some pretty nice and balanced aromas. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, grape, biscuit, pepper, grass, honey, grain, and yeast spices. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, biscuit, honey, and yeast spices on the finish for a bit. Flavors are more on the sweet side than the spicy side; but is not cloying at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel. Very smooth to drink, but is good for sipping on. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish. Overall this is a very nice and enjoyable Belgian pale. Nice flavor balance and complexity.

Aroma is yeast and fruit. The flavor is similar to the aroma with a decent hop punch. Not a flavor blast like the best Belgian Ales but it was very easy to drink, almost too much.
