COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Thanks to iNBe. Now, I’m all about full flavored low ABV beers. And this was a good attempt but the balance and flavor combinations were a bit odd keeping this from being rated higher. Serving: Bottle

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a clear gold with a large mostly-lasting frothy white head. Aroma of breadyy malt, pepper, a bit of paper and citrusy hops. Very slightly watery flavour is hoppy first followed by bready malt and a moderate bitter finish -- simple but good. Average bodied. A good, not great, Session Ale -- but that abv is too high to be a true Session.

Tasted on tap at Taháa Twisted Tiki Bar in Manchester Grove. It poured a slightly hazy golden amber colour. Lots of citrusy, fruity, black peppery hops, but an odd farmhouse-ish, composty aspect reminiscent of saison or berlinner weiss. Since no one else is reporting those flavours, I suspect a minor line infection. Under the circumstances, it was okay but not a very pleasantly balanced beer.

Bottle. Poured clear dark golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium citrus bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

Bottles. Clear golden color with ivory head. Spicy, citrusy, dry cracker aromas. Light to medium bodied with average co2. Nice citrusy, spicy hop flavors with a dusty pale malt base brew___crisp drying finish---nice hot weather brew.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Bright golden color with a decent fluffy white head. Pleasant fruity aromas with tropical notes and some sweet malt. Sweetish toffee flavors, mellow fruitiness, clean light caramel malt, medium bitterness. Light-med body, effervescent, clean and lacks some oomph. OK.

Light copper/golden color with a small fluffy head. The aroma smells odd light pine, sweet malt, and a touch of oranges. Light, crisp drinker, with some light hop flavor but significant malt. Not bad but seems like a regular pale ale.

Bottle in Cedar Rapids. A decent IPA. It has all the classic flavors with a very bitter finish. I find the hops and bitterness a bit unbalanced, though--a rough edge to the beer.

Bottle. Translucent light orange-brown body, medium to thick pillowy off-white head. Bready nose with faded citrusy hops; soggy Wheat Chex cereal. Medium-bodied with lots of cereals and toast behind the catty and citrusy but thin hops profile. Pedestrian.
