COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Pours a golden color with medium white head. Aroma is citrus fruit, light hoppiness. Taste is much the same, nice and smooth and easy drinking. I liked this on tap!

Clear amber; big frothy off-white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of herbs, resin, rye bread, and mustiness. Taste is grainy malts and mild bitterness. Light-medium bodied with average carbonation.

Braudog (5966) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Bottle. Bright golden, rocky head. The aroma is earthy, bit dirty. Unfortunately the drink isn’t as good as I’d expect ... this drinks with a weird, funky vegetal base. After several sips I finally get a little bit of citrus rind, but it’s far too late by this point. (#5514, 5/11/2014)

FROTHINGSLOSH (5250) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow-golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was grassy, onion, herbal and quite off - rather awful. The flavor was grassy, herbal, onion and off again. Long finish which given the flavor was regrettable. Medium body. Absolutely awful!

Pours a hazy gold, aroma of bitter piney hops, sweet malt. Taste is bitter, malty with fresh milled grain. Average session ale

Bottle. Bright clear golden orange pour with a big fluffy white head. Some citrus notes but some other off flavors as well. Not bad but not up to Goose’s usual standards in my opinion.

12oz bottle pours a clear golden amber with a thick pillow head that dissipated quickly with nice lacing. Aromas of dank, Mary Jane, citrus, spruce, floral, resin, and clove. Flavor is medium bitter with a peppery finish. Nice.

Some English hops in aroma, but only hop bitterness in aftertaste. Thin body. Pale blond color.

Bottle. Clear golden orange color. Thin off-white head, good lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, light carbonation. More dry finish. Nice bigger body. Great pine, citrus. Moderate caramel aroma. Some grapefruit citrus. Bigger bitter taste. Great after a run!

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 3/14/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep gold color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with bright citrus/floral hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice and pleasant flavors with good complexity of citrus/floral hops and moderate malt sweetness; with solid robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected for 5%. Overall this is a very good session IPA. Very bright hoppy aromas, but the taste wasn’t nearly as vibrant; but otherwise very smooth and nicely enjoyable.
