3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Standard longneck, OK label, clear medium-light orange, not much head. Malt-forward aroma with some herbal mint tones. A bit brothy, not highly bittered, some candied gel tones. A bristling carbonation in the bottle, piney bittering kicks in more in the medium palate and back end. Fairly crisp, tailgate fare. Die, session IPA trend! New Leaf Market.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours two fingers of head on a clear straw colored body.
The aroma is lots of lemon and grapefruit in a good mixture.
The taste has pine and grapefruit bitterness with a good balance of malt.
The texture is great; a nice fizz but not too carbonated.
A great tasting IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bottle. Nose is big citrus, heavy peel of grapefruit with some others, notably orange; very very rindy, about as realistically fruity as I’ve ever smelled from hops. Crystal character and not much fruit otherwise. Pours clear golden with average carbonation and a soapy off-white head. Taste is hoppy, semi-dry but drying out quickly to bone-dry, with firm but soft bitterness that lingers around "low" but seems greater in the absence of balancing sweetness. Great hoppy citrus juice and rind as before, medium-strong resin with light oil, spicy (principally black pepper, but something else cutting like GoP or even rough coriander). Medium-to-strong tannins and light tea flavor on the back end. Watery light body but that doesn’t really get me down at all (actually adds to the drinkability!), and the overall refreshment here is impressive. A mild sense of over-filtration, but otherwise quite an achievement.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
May 5, 2014 - bottle from AV3 in my Goose nonic pint glass. Clear golden pour with large pillowy head that left some lacing. Aroma was citrus and some malt. Taste was nicely balanced, maybe a touch watery and grapefruit in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, polished copper pour with a 1-2 finger creamy, soapy off white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, citrus peel, a little white tea, bread, biscuit and something that reminds me very much of toasted sesame seeds or sesame oil, a strange and intriguing note. Flavor is lemon-lime heavy citrus, a little passion fruit, toast, biscuit, light bready yeast, hints of husky grain, maybe a hint of roasted garlic, and that same toasted, maybe lightly smoky sesame note increasing in strength toward the finish. Light body, neutral to slightly creamy entry, light to medium, slightly sharp and blanketing carbonation, and dry, crisp and slightly chalky finish. Good stuff overall, definitely an interesting flavor profile.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mild aroma of hops, and some notes of mild citrus. Nice clear deep yellow color. Head retention is good....bright white. Slightly sweet malt beginning. Followed by hoppy bitterness, that’s mild. Pretty plain in flavor but refreshing. Finishes with a mild bitterness that is laced with some sweetness lingering from the malt. Decent.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft on tap at The Sedgwick Stop (Chicago, IL). Popped in for this Lake Effect event and hey, cheap session IPA! Pours a nicer orange amber hue overall, a touch darker and dulled but a transparent body overall in this light. The larger cakey offwhite head atop stays as a larger layer, sticks around and laces well. Aromas are fruity, firm wafts of grapefruit rind, touches of orange and fruit, some decent floral elements and a bit of bread comes in. More hop driven but not overdone, citrus feel is on point. Initial shows a lighter body overall, more in line with the "style". Decent citrus juice bent with grapefruit jabs up front. Some florals, bready and lighter middle shows a touch of garlic, bit bubbly and effervescent. Touches of grass, earthy bitterness linger on into the backend. Light and crushable, the fruit element tapers off a bit more from the pleasant juicy nose but still offers some decent drinkability. The garlic note seems off and out of place but it falls out quicker than expected. Ok. Perhaps a few more re-dos over the summer to see if it improves/might be more up my alley.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very good citrus aroma which pulls you into this light gold beer. It has a powerful grapefruit flavor up front but finishes crisp and smooth. Really well done for an IPA as it is very flavorful but not overpowering.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling medium copper pour, light bubble action, not much of a head. Aroma has some light resiny cat urine notes (in a good way), some unidentified spiciness. Flavor is pleasant with some burnt bitter citrus notes, some sulfur-like notes, some unidentifiable peppery spiciness. Mouthfeel is clean and smooth. Not bad, but does’t really drink like a session.
