Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Clear yellowish pour. Citrus hoppy aroma but very reduced and a bit of hay. Medium bodied but has a citrus flavour. Fast profile and light on the finish. Never enjoyed this beer style as I always find these beers watery.

Can from local iga grocery A: citrusy, light oranges App: clear golden small white head and good lacing. T/p: thin to med body with short bitter finish. Soft carbonation. O: it’s possibly old, couldn’t figure the dating on the can. The aroma isn’t clearly at it best end up sharing more than half with my good old friend : The Drain.

Pours clear gold with a medium head. Aroma is of dank tropical fruits, maybe a little skunk and pine. Tastes is big musty, rotten peaches and pine. Very strange taste. Has a light, average carbonated body that is refreshing, minus the taste. This beer couldn’t end sooner.

341 ml bottle. Clear yellow orange, fine creamy white foam mostly lasts. Aroma of citrusy grapefruity hop. Taste is mostly barely bitter juicy citrusy grapefruity, some orange, faintly floral, lean malts, an aqueous, easy quencher. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, well hopped. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Another shitty day at work, another shitty session ipa. There was a time -- to be precise, when I tried Founders All Day IPA on a road trip -- when I thought the session ipa style (which had yet to hit the Canadian beer scene the way a drunk senior citizen sideswipes a school bus) was what we needed. I take it back. We don’t need it. Just like this beer: hops & malt drowned in water. No thanks. Don’t need it.

6-pack from my local Metro store. Slightly hazed, light-golden colour with a small white cap and some decent lacing. Nicely balanced aromas between the grassy hops and citrus notes. Decent bitterness with mild grass. Not super dry, so refreshing overall. Easy-drinking Session IPA with regular alcohol content.

Can. Pours a clear and bubbly golden colour, huge fluffy white head, lots of clumpy lace. Nose is fruity, citrus hop, sweet caramel malt. Tastes thin, a little bottler, sweet a little biscuit and caramel. Pretty easy to drink.
