COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Bottle, pours a nice golden amber, first sip was expecting something else but this session ale settles well and leaves a nice aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341 ml bottle. Clear yellow orange, fine creamy white foam mostly lasts. Aroma of citrusy grapefruity hop. Taste is mostly barely bitter juicy citrusy grapefruity, some orange, faintly floral, lean malts, an aqueous, easy quencher. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, well hopped. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Another shitty day at work, another shitty session ipa. There was a time -- to be precise, when I tried Founders All Day IPA on a road trip -- when I thought the session ipa style (which had yet to hit the Canadian beer scene the way a drunk senior citizen sideswipes a school bus) was what we needed. I take it back. We don’t need it. Just like this beer: hops & malt drowned in water. No thanks. Don’t need it.

6-pack from my local Metro store. Slightly hazed, light-golden colour with a small white cap and some decent lacing. Nicely balanced aromas between the grassy hops and citrus notes. Decent bitterness with mild grass. Not super dry, so refreshing overall. Easy-drinking Session IPA with regular alcohol content.

Can. Pours a clear and bubbly golden colour, huge fluffy white head, lots of clumpy lace. Nose is fruity, citrus hop, sweet caramel malt. Tastes thin, a little bottler, sweet a little biscuit and caramel. Pretty easy to drink.

My Bottom Line:
This American Pale Ale’s delicate citrusy hoppiness becomes a bit more coniferous in the flavor profile, as honeyed, biscuity cereals build silkiness around the prickly bubbling.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A steady head of foam laces atop the shiny golden.
-The forced carbonation is too intense for my tastes. I’d prefer this with natural carbonation.
-The flavor profile is more subtle than the nose.
-Drinkability is very high, which is this beer’s main aim, I am sure.

Can.

355ml bottle pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus with some floral notes and hints of grains. Taste is a light fruity and malty sweetness with a citrus hop bitterness. Light bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, a pleasant, easy drinking brew that could use a bit more hops, which would give a bolder flavor profile.
