Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Bottle, pours a nice golden amber, first sip was expecting something else but this session ale settles well and leaves a nice aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(bottle) bright, clear amber colour with a small white head; aroma of tropical fruit, citrus; clean and light flavour with a long light bitter finish; light and simple ipa

Light copper/golden color with a small fluffy head. The aroma smells odd light pine, sweet malt, and a touch of oranges. Light, crisp drinker, with some light hop flavor but significant malt. Not bad but seems like a regular pale ale.

Bottle in Cedar Rapids. A decent IPA. It has all the classic flavors with a very bitter finish. I find the hops and bitterness a bit unbalanced, though--a rough edge to the beer.

Bottle. Translucent light orange-brown body, medium to thick pillowy off-white head. Bready nose with faded citrusy hops; soggy Wheat Chex cereal. Medium-bodied with lots of cereals and toast behind the catty and citrusy but thin hops profile. Pedestrian.

a good session beer but I would go for notch left of the dial over this. Great aroma, but flavour is lacking a little for me. I am starting to think that many of the reviews on this site are making a mistake in equating strength with quality. There is nothing wrong with this beer, its just not the best.

Taste like drinking a pine tree. I believe the worst IPA I have ever had. Bottle bought a grocery store July 2014.

Medium yellow color, aroma of some grassy hops, but not much. Taste is light malt and light hops bitterness, with a light body and slightly-high carbonation. I like it better than a 63 (its current rating), but it doesn’t stand out from the crowd. Definitely a session beer.

Agh. Bottling date of March 14, 2014. Far from fresh. But anyway, transparent orange body some white head. Faint grassy and hoppy aroma. Taste is quite subdued, a touch of hops and biscuit and some metallic bitterness in the finish. Not fantastic...at least not a bottle of this age. Will re-rate with fresher bottle when I get the chance.

Bottle. Pour is clear orange. Lacing white head. Aroma is light.. very light on hops. The taste is not biting or overbearing. It is very sessionable, just very light on taste.

Copper color. Lacey white head. Tangerine meat aroma. Very fruity taste with a dubdued malt finish. Better than the ratings.
