COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

#7700 for the Earl of Ale. Pours clear dark straw with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is floral, spicy white peppery, hops, tropical citrus, pale malt. Solid nose. Not sure the hop in this, but it tastes New Zealandish or Australian. Tastes spicy, floral, with hops and a finishing bitterness, plus a complex finish. This one is very good, and I could see myself drinking this one endlessly.

35.5cl bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that supports a short lived full light tan head that receded to a white ring of foam. The modest aroma is sweet with mango and citrus candy and then it picks up a faint pine hop notes in the background just as I’m getting a slight fruity cotton candy like sensation. The taste starts with malt sweetened citrus hop flavor that’s sweet tangelo and clementine and then it flows into a bit of mango, floral and spicy hops. After several sips I notice floral hop notes getting more and more bitter into the finish. Pretty nice but it seems muddled in spots and isn’t as snappy as it should be.
