Long days and warm nights awaken the city. The list of neighborhood festivals is endless. As is the great music that brings us together in parks and parking lots. We brewed our Session IPA to be easy drinking and endlessly refreshing, so you can enjoy every encore. Bright note of fresh oranges and other citrus fruit with a mild body that is crisp on the palate.

Admin Note: Although this is similar to Forcone, Goose Island assures me this beer is a different recipe for large scale release in 2014 evolved from that original batch for Pitchfork Music Festival 2013.

Bottle. Taste is mild hints of citrus, dough, pine cones, hops and hay. Decent, but very tame IPA.

Golden body with a white head that had good retention and nice lace. Aroma had nice resin hops and the citrus hops were mild. Nice sweet caramel malts. Flavor was mostly resin and pine hops. Thankfully the citrus hops were mild and just enough to take the edge odd the other hop flavors. Malts were mostly sweet, but had a nice toasted note to them. Smooth beer.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear copperish color with a somewhat large white head on there. Nose has some grass in there as well as some darker citrus notes coming through. Taste is pretty light and moderately bitter, but definitely fresh and refreshing. Decent brew.

Had this at the Great Arkansas Beer Festival 2014. Pours golden yellow. Aroma is hoppy with some pine. Good carbonation and decent head retention. Overall, a drinkable beer but not great.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear fizzy golden with 1/2 inch white head that settled quickly to very thin layer of bubbles heading toward the rim. Aroma is mild oxidized hops and caramel malt. Flavor is same with slight vegetal grassy bitter note. Thin bodied, bright carbonation. Overly sweet malty finish.

Pours a crystal clear golden with a thick, rocky off-white head that settles slowly and leaves some foamy, chunky lace. Nose involves husky grain, nuttiness, with some light fruity and piney notes. Fairly sweet, not very bitter. Light body, slippery, fair action, with a short fruity hop finish. Not great. A very odd nose, and though it’s drinkable, it’s not enjoyable.

Draft at Rattle. Pours gold with a white head. Really dank hoppy notes with pine, and some dirty rustic weirdness. Very raw but not that bad.

Nice slightly dank and a little fruity. Beautiful dark gold color. Very refreshing and clean finish. I could drink a lot of these beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Pours tangerine in color with a small, bright white ring of head. Sweet aroma, like a mix of watermelon and peaches, with a definite husky graininess underneath. There is something else perfumey in the aroma that I can’t quite put my finger on. Light-to-moderate bitterness with flavors of mild grapefruit rind and soft leather. Rather dry finish with lingering grapefruit rind flavors.

Bottle. Well, what we have here is yet another IPA. It looks like an IPA, smells like an IPA and tastes like an IPA. Must be an IPA?

Bottled on date of "10May2014." This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a decent hazy orange color with a light carbonation seen rising at a moderate pace filling a rapidly dieing one finger white foamy head. The head seemed to sustain itself as a nice film. The aroma had a sweet somewhat light spicy to citrus smell fairly powerful with a really light lemon zest that comes close to the end in a nice eloquent way. The taste had some good bitter spicy and citrus hops. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. There was a decent bitter citrus lightly spiced aftertaste that lead to a dry sweet citrus spicy finish. Overall, I say this was a pretty good session ipa worthy of having again.
