3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft on tap at Belgian Fest (Chicago, IL). Pours a richer hazed pinkish amber pour, pinkish watermelon middle, some amber glowing edges. Frothy whitish head stays as a mellow film, ok lacing overall. Aromas are distinct watermelon, a touch tart, coriander and orange peel, flaked wheat malts. Distinct fresh watermelon aroma. Initial is lighter end of the fold fresh watermelon fruit, pulp, and grass. Gentle sweetness, bread, orange peel. Some spice, good fresh watermelon vibe. Middle is a bit spicy and bready, some dryness. The finish is lots of watermelon, gentle dryness, spice. Flaked wheat, bread, and straw. Gentle fruit, spiciness linger. Pretty refreshing, genuine watermelon flavor. Yum. A summer sessioner.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Belgian Fest. Pours a faintly pinkish orange white, cloudy with a sticky head. The nose is nice and subtle. Nice watermelon candy notes to go along with the willow street wit base. Light tangerine and saltine crackers. On tasting, low bitterness, nice fruity watermelon candy. Tangerine and wheat. Mildly tart. Nice stuff here.
