Draught at LA Farmer's Market. Subtle sweetness, some fruit and toffee in the nose. Poured a light chestnut brown (not exactly blonde) with a thin dissipating head. Medium carbonation with a good finish. Tasty, light and crisp. Honey flavours quite subtle, but came through gradually. Very polished and not cloying in the least. Really very satisfying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

GABF. A light brown pour gives way to a peaty, nutty, sweet, caramel, honey note. Flavor is sweet and honey, some nuts, toasted grain and light smokey peat. Very cool beer!

Draft at GABF 11. Someone finally had the details on this one. Pours a deep brown with a tan head. Nose offers some odd smokey notes that are interesting. Strong notes of honey and some cocoa. Hint of toffee. Clean overall. On tasting, quite sweet, perhaps underfermented here. The sweetness is almost cloying, even with some balancing smoke. Meh.

On tap at GABF, poured dark brownish red with a nice off white head, aroma gave notes of hazelnut, toffee, some slight honey and floral notes along with a slight nutty character. Taste was pretty sweet but the floral notes of the honey brought it back, notes of dry toast, some nuts, caramel and deep toffee rounded it out. Nicely done.
