Straw gold with a thin white head. Peppery and fruity, though it didn’t scream "strawberries" to me. Light tartness.

Tasted at Cugino’s. It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was of moderate to heavy sour yeast with some spiciness and fruits. It had a medium to full body with a heavy sour and tart taste and a medium to heavy sour and tart finish of moderate to long duration. Just awesome.

Sample at first sunday. Pretty diverse and well done beer. Definitely get th strawberries, honey, white pepper, and grapey white wine flavors. All come together pretty well to make a pretty entertaining drink. Dry on the palate, fruity finish.

On tap at Brouwer’s for Migration Week. Golden straw yellow. Slightly vegetal nose, some tartness but not much, definitely some strawberry. Flavor really doesn’t do it for me. I’m getting a seriously unpleasant fusel / gasoline taste before the strawberries kick in. Blech.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/11/2013. Pours lightly hazy bright gold color with a small foamy white head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing fairly quickly. No glass lacing, and a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big strawberry, peach, pineapple, lemon zest, green apple, pear, white wine, honey, oak, white pepper, hay, straw, grass, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, strawberries, and wine barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big strawberry, peach, pineapple, lemon zest, green apple, pear, white wine, white pepper, honey, oak, hay, straw, grass, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity/acidic tartness and spice on the finish; with lingering notes of strawberry, peach, pineapple, lemon zest, green apple, pear, white wine, white pepper, honey, oak, hay, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, strawberries, and white wine barrel flavors; with a great sweetness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/acidic, and slightly slick mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding wine barrel fruited saison. All around awesome complexity and balanced of fruity/spicy yeast, strawberries, and wine barrel flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Pours a hazy golden orange, small white head. Aroma is fresh strawberry, spice, Funk. Taste is nicely balanced strawberry and sour funk, slight acidity, pepper definitely present but works well for flavor without heat. Very easy drinking. One of my favorite GI sours .

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2015 Brooklyn Gillian Belgian style farmhouse ’13. Bomber.
Appearance - light golden color, a little bit turbid - could be the yeast in the bottle but I don’t see anything floating. Head starts out nice, but dissipates quickly.
Nose - very light & crisp. Fruity scent, perhaps strawberry.
Flavor - packs a sour punk at first, then mellows out. It evolves as the beer warms and my taste buds warm up to the sour punch.
Notes - Outstanding sour. I would definitely buy again, but the price tag is a bit steep. At some point it tastes a bit like an unripe strawberry - deliciously sour

Pours a slightly hazed very light pink/dusty orange. Scant head but high carbonation. Aromas of strawberry jam, yogurt, some light spice. Taste is tart and lightly spicy. Flavors of strawberry jam, pepper from a cheap diner shaker, some Belgian yeast esters. Strikes a decent balance between tart and semi sweet. Finished pretty light with the effervesent carbonation propelling the strawberry notes to the front. Nice beer.
