COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale with Strawberries, Honey, and White Pepper Aged in Wine Barrels

Inspired by an amuse bouche often prepared by the wife of one of our brewers, Scully brings white pepper, strawberry, and honey to a harmonious blend of “mouth amusement”. The ingredients are added at different stages to a Saison, and fermented with a normal Belgian yeast as well as a Champagne yeast.

Bottle at home. Has a hazy light orange colour with a fast fading carbonated head. Fruity aroma with spices, cloves maybe, strawberry, citrus, blood orange, forest floor and honey. Interesting! The flavour is fruity as well and has more citrus, pepper, orange peel and some mango. Mouth feel is slick and nice. A fruity ale and with a fantastic complexity. Has spicy tones in the background. Must be an amazing beer to food.

Sample at the 2014 Infected Chimipalooza on 11/01/2014. Slightly hazed bright golden pour with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of berries, herbal wheat and funky yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of tart berries, peppery yeast and oak. The finish is funky with a funky strawberry aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99 from notes. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have tart strawberries, funky, earthy character, mild pepper, sweet honey notes, some citrus, oak with bready malts, interesting take on a saison/sour.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and pear-colored with a fleeting white head. The aroma is super fruity and acidic, but there’s touch too much white pepper that detracts a bit from my overall olfactory experience. Medium to full-bodied with prickly carbonation. The flavor is tart, fruity and bright. Tangy, lightly bitter, peppery finish. 9.5%? Fooled me. Wow! Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

This is a really impressive beer. Has some slight strawberry flavor, slight hints of vanilla, pepper, cereal, and funk. Slightly tart, but quite balanced.

GABF 2014. Hazy yellow color with a small head. Aroma of sour hay. Very tart flavor. Light fruit and good hay notes. Hints of honey sweetness. Thin bodied.

Straw gold with a thin white head. Peppery and fruity, though it didn’t scream "strawberries" to me. Light tartness.

Tasted at Cugino’s. It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was of moderate to heavy sour yeast with some spiciness and fruits. It had a medium to full body with a heavy sour and tart taste and a medium to heavy sour and tart finish of moderate to long duration. Just awesome.

Sample at first sunday. Pretty diverse and well done beer. Definitely get th strawberries, honey, white pepper, and grapey white wine flavors. All come together pretty well to make a pretty entertaining drink. Dry on the palate, fruity finish.
