Cornfield (4254), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 8, 2008 Sessionable enough brew, but not real interesting. It pours a light clear gold body with a short-lived little had and leaves no lace on the glass. There are some soft garden flower scents over a warm, grainy malt. The flavor has some light sweet malts and the faint hop flavors are a mild grassy bitterness. One was enough.

npdempse (930), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 25, 2008 (On cask, dryhopped, at Clybourn) Clear, and in fact golden, with basically no head. Light nose, fairly bitter, notable corn and veggie aromas. Flavor is relatively bitter, rather astringent, and soapy, with hints of orange and apricots. Overall thin, and not particularly pleasant. Glouglouburp (1876), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 20, 2008 In short: A light floral and slightly citric/tart session blonde ale.
How: Tap at brewpub (Clybourn location)
The look: Clear yellow body topped by a lit
In long: Very floral and herbal beer. Flavours of hay, lemongrass, dandelions and lime. Mild-medium bitterness with a citric touch. Pleasant light tartness. Sweetness level kept to a minimum. Tickling carbonation. A fine session ale but it just didn’t measure up to the pint of 2.5% Six I had just before. But you know you’re in a excellent brewpub when the entry-level Golden Ale is pretty good. Another indication that you’re in a very good brewpub is when all the beers are good. hopscotch (4386), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 19, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Mostly clear, light yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is extremely subdued... I pulled a few wafts of honey mixed with a little leather and grain. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Very sweet with a whisper of acidity and no detectible bitterness. Finishes mildly sweet and gently acidic. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA May 19, 2008 Draft at Clybourn. Pours Golden with a thin white head. Aromatics is floral, sweet malt, maybe some grain and corn. Very easy drink and a decent session brew. I enjoyed this simple selection. sneagrams3 (1342), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 19, 2008 Tasted 4/30/08. Draft from the Clybourne brewpub. Filtered with a golden hue. Trace head. Corny grainy nose. Typical. Light bodied. Grassy and crisp. Smooth with a slight chalky flavor. Mild smooth and easy. Mild effervescence. Decent.
