COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Green Line Pale Ale is a honey-colored, immensely sessionable American pale ale with a pronounced, bright, American hop aroma and citrus flavor. Notes of biscuit and lightly toasted malt create the backbone for Green Line’s pleasant, crisp bitterness.

Draft at O’Hare airport. Pours clear gold with a soapy white head. Aroma and taste of slightly bitter hops and sweeter malts with floral notes, grass and citrus.

On tap at Uno’s Pizzeria in Chicago last summer. It poured a copper gold with a nice hoppy aroma. The flavor was citrus, some caramel malt and pine. Another solid beer from Goose Island but not outstanding, an everyday type of APA.

How well they do a pale ale to me defines a brewery. This was a full pint at the brewery on the day after DLD 2013. It came in the glass a clear gold color with a nice white head. Good lacing rings. The nose was of caramel malts and citrus hops. Medium in body with a clean smooth mouth feel. The flavor was tropical fruit, floral and citrus hops. Finish is dry and bitter. This is a solid APA and very easy drinking. Goose Island passed the test.

It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was nice juicy hops and some good honeyed malts. The taste was smooth, clean and easy to drink. It had a great balance of fruitiness, hops and malt. Good stuff.

Golden color with a single finger head. Big grain aroma. Medium mouth. A little dish soap and flower in the taste. Some bright flowery notes really come out as you sip on this one. Ok, but not great.

Draft at Timothy O’Tooles. Pours golden with an inch of white foam that leaves some lacing. Notes of cookie on the nose. Lots of biscuit on the tongue. Finish is a bit chalky. Would have liked a bit more hop presence.

Starts out with a good hoppy aroma a faint malt aroma. This beer is heady, though not to the extent pictured. Average bitterness in the flavor, backed up by some toasted bread. Smooth, easy drinker from the tap, seems built for long bar sessions.
