COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Green Line Pale Ale is a honey-colored, immensely sessionable American pale ale with a pronounced, bright, American hop aroma and citrus flavor. Notes of biscuit and lightly toasted malt create the backbone for Green Line’s pleasant, crisp bitterness.

On draft at Harry Caray’s in Chicago. The pour is a darker gold, with a big white head that falls down leaving a nice soapy lace. The clarity is there, even though the color is a little dark. The aroma is plain. There is a lot of malt detectable right up front. There is a strong grassiness that comes in before the hop presents itself. It’s light and crisp, but easily overshadowed. The flavor is a little better, but much of the same. There is a light bitterness up front, but then it gets soft. There is a little juiciness and a light sweetness. The malts are definitely the show here. I wish there was more bitter hop to it. That being said, it’s incredibly easy to drink. The mouth feel is a little syrupy, but overall it’s light and crisp. There is a lift carbonation and a lingeringly bready, malty aftertaste. Not too bad

Hop on board, the label says. Dry, fruity, complex. It doesn’t really connect but it does impress. Clear, shiny, bold pour with a decent head. Toasty in the nose with a bit of unpleasantness. The rough finish meddles with a good effort. A misfire for an APA, but good for a lager.

Tap pour into bumped pint glass at New Bohemia Uptown. Golden and heavily filtered with a healthy amount of white head. Nose is sweeter than anticipated with bubblegum coming through and some mild citrus. Taste actually has some banana mixing with traditional pale ale citrus and pine elements. Taste is overall quite simple and unimpressive. Finish is abrupt with a little lingering bitterness from the hops. This feels like Goose Island trying to appease a mass audience with a basic pale ale. Very boring effort. Take an Uber instead.

Decent middle of the road pale ale. It has a fruity flavor but an odd aftertaste.

Pours a clear copper with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is bready and some ripe fruit. Flavor is more of the same.

APPEARANCE- Golden color and very clear. The white foamy head is fed continuously with effervescent bubbles. It’s quite a treat to watch. NOSE- very light, even for a pale ale. No hop, slight typical ale scent. FLAVOR- also extremely light even for a pale ale.

Bottle. Orange biscuit malt and metallic orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Mildly sweet orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Body a bit light. Nothing bad but pretty underwhelming - a very basic APA.

This bottled brew from a bar poured a small white colored head of foamy finely sized mostly diminishing bubbles. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and finished with a weak tingly feeling but of medium hops. The aroma was mild and hoppy. The flavor contained notes of hops, mild citrus, and semi-thick malt. An OK brew, but not one I would buy again. Goose Island can do much better.

Clear golden with a small off-white head. Aroma is corn, grain and malt. Taste is sugar, hops and malt.
