3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Kinz (2971) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - NOV 23, 2012
On tap at the Chicago O’Hare Airport. Nice to try something new from Goose Island, but disappointing that they didn’t have the Bourbon County Stout promised by the menu. Oh well. Pours a very light orange, nice head. Aroma is light biscuit malt and faint citric hops. Flavor is a match. Not bad, but just a run of the mill pale ale.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ccex (799) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 22, 2012
On tap at the Cove, less than a block away from my house. Pours a clear light amber color with moderate white head. Aroma is a light mix of malts and hops. Taste is slightly bitter with a clean finish. Light to medium body. A good but not great pale ale which I may try again.

Poured light amber with a fluffy white head. Citrus and floral hop aroma with a similar bitter flavor. Thin body and smooth enough to be quite sessionable.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 hellomynameis (872) - Mayer, Minnesota, USA - OCT 31, 2012
Floral hops on the nose. Golden colour with a good sized and persisting head that is filled with large bubbles, not dense at all. Wow this is drinkable! Good malty flavor up front with a floral an slightly bitter hop presence rounding it out. The hops are there, you can not miss them, but they are very well melded into this beer.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Capa (1905) - Manama, BAHRAIN - OCT 22, 2012
Lightly floral and citrus nose with a bit of malt. Medium bodied. Sweet fruits, citrus, floral, light toasted malts. Refreshing and simple. Well done.
2.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ShawnC (64) - - OCT 18, 2012
Mute nose. Maybe a hint of malt. Nice caramel palate with a bitter overlay that is quite nice. Lingering hop profile is pleasant with a decidedly citrus note. Darker than I would expect. But not bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DoublEE (509) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - OCT 17, 2012
Single finger head on a slightly hazy golden with brown hues. Nice session aroma including floral and citrus notes. Flavor is a little more subtle with the floral and citrus hops and there is a stronger caramel and lightly toasted malt presence. Medium body ad moderate carbonation. Overall nicely drinkable, good flavor but there are much better choices for this genre.

on tap (10/8) at giordana’s deep dish pizza in Chicago. poured yellow/haze but settled more into a light beer look golden. had a small bite of bitterness in the first sip but lost bite, hopiness and did finish with a hint of malt

Goose Island O’Hare. Pale orange pour with a tight white head. The aroma is softly zesty and spicy with a little bit of soft juicy orange pulp as well. Lean bodied with a nice crackery malt flavour. Light and zesty with a bright fresh finish. Great balance and excellent quaffibility. A great brew really. A touch of woodiness to the bitterness that also works.
