COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Green Line Pale Ale is a honey-colored, immensely sessionable American pale ale with a pronounced, bright, American hop aroma and citrus flavor. Notes of biscuit and lightly toasted malt create the backbone for Green Line’s pleasant, crisp bitterness.

I’m getting this on tap at multiple Chicago locations. It’s becoming my go-to beer when I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. It’s a mild IPA: solid color, taste, palate. Score should reflect that.

A nice amber tint. Bold flavor that goes down smooth. Crisp pale ale scent. Among the better pale ales.

Draft to pint. Looks solid; a transparent burnt orange with eggshell head. Smells and tastes of bitter hops and pale malt with an average mouthfeel. Alright.

On draft at Chicago midway. Was excited to get some local craft brew, but found out after I ordered that is was made by Goose Island (AKA, InBev). Don’t get me wrong they make some good beers, but some are very macro-esque. Anyway, this is pretty much not a pale ale, as I percieve negligible hops in the aroma or taste. Wouldn’t be a bad beer at the ballpark or a BBQ, but not what I was looking for when I ordered a pale ale. Meh.

Visited Goose Island at Clybourn and got a tasting flight. Tasting notes include: Not a bad tailgating ipa, true to style, average

Draft. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a small white head. aroma is light citrus, floral. Flavor is mildly sweet, not much bitter, some floral hops. Very light and easily drinkable. OK, but nothing special.

Clear, copper pour with a white head. The aroma has pine and citrus hops. It has a medium body with somewhat oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with a slightly more bitter finish.

hazy amber, effervescent under the puffy white head, large bubbled and non-lacing. Dirty plastic and manure wheat nose, bit of cleaning product. Oily palate is sugary hay front, moderate plastic and dirty grass mid with an off lactic note through the dry, grainy bitter finish, frothy carbonation had it feeling fuller than profile supports.

Draught at Goose Island Clybourne, Chicago. Golden beer with a small offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, grassy, caramel, peach, hay, some pine apples. Hoppy citrus glavor, grassy, pine, grapes, some oranges. Slightly thin bodied and maybe more hops would have made it more interesting.
