2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Confused is a good way to describe this beer. It’s a Pale Ale with almost no hop aroma or flavor, but instead has a sweetness to it as well as a distinct malty flavor. Not sure but i feel like this sweetness wasn’t intended but is more of a flaw than anything else. There’s no bitterness on the tongue since the hops are almost non existent. The beer overall wasn’t terrible but completely off as to what a pale ale should be.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden color out of the tap with a lasting white head that left some lacing. Sweet grainy nose. Honey sweet beer with some bread crust and some lemon rind bitterness in the finish. Good with my pizza.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear gold body with a small fizzy white head that retained as a thin wispy film. The nose is rather light floral hops over a slightly bready and doughy pale malt base. The flavor is just lightly bitter with some floral and minimally citrusy hops. Lingering crackery maltiness and minimal bitterness. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a slight cling to the finish. Meh, a fairly boring and uninspiring APA.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman’s in Rockford, IL, served in a Flying Fish pint glass cold. Moderate-to-large fluffy white head dissipates with little alacritcy atop the brassy, vaguely oily but mostly clear body, leaving light flecks in the glass...sweet floral (honeysuckle) and lightly citric aroma, perhaps a hint of corn sugar...body is lightly sweet, lightly hoppy throughout, with bitterness barely making an impact at the finish, which is still fairly sweet, a bit bready/doughy...lightly syrupy on the palate and average carbonation level. Not that bad actually though given the hundreds of better APAs available just locally I can’t imagine choosing to get this again barring being in some godforsaken place where it’s the only drinkable choice on tap.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle with a bottling date of 30 June 2016, served in a lager glass in Sept. 2016.
Orangish-amber body is clear; plenty of carbonation bubbles rising to a moderate size, off-white head that has very good retention. Patterned lacing.
Aroma: mild but surprisingly complex. Hops.with fruity and herbal notes in balance with bready malts.
Flavor: a bit more hoppy than malty. Good balance. Ample flavor for style.
Feel: near medium body; medium-high carbonation.
Overall: a solid, above average APA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the Rake, golden-amber with an ever so faint haze and a thick fine foam. Light biscuit and peach nose, fruity and softly bitter, turning dry and sweetly grassy, then a dry-sweet bitter finish..

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to Jody. Pours a light gold color. Thing blanket of white head on top. Little to nose hops. Dry finish. This beer is light aqueous and crushable. But it almost offensive with how little it leaves you with flavor wise.

12oz bottle. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is malt and grain with just a little pine. Lightly hoppy - primarily grass and a dull citrus. Some malt up front. Fairly yeast. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel.
