3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Braudog (4607) - Hampton, USA - MAY 8, 2010
Draft at Wrigleyville. Bright golden amber with a thin but resilient head. The aroma is shy but the beer has a decent grassy character and moderate hoppiness. Now where can I get one of those famous Chicago dogs? (#3901, 5/8/2010)

22 oz hefe type glass at the Goose Island pub by gate L10 in Chicago’s O’Hare airport. The pour is mostly clear golden with a smallish white head. Decent lace. The aroma is flat hop bitterness, along with sugar sweet malt. The taste is light fruit malt sweetness, a touch of woody hops, and a real dirtiness. Not sure how clean these tap lines are. The palate is medium bodied, lower carbonation, and finishes with the fruit sweetness, and a bit of an off yeast character. The fresh keg was better, cut the sweetness a little, though the dirty yeast / tap line remained.

draft at O’Hare. lighly grassy nose with mild pungent dried hop leaves and mineral powder yeast; sadly it’s unacceptably dirty and has the coarseness and fizziness of cheap Budweiser products. tastes of stainless steel and stale grains. fizzy and sourish.

A good pale ale that goes down easy. Good for a few.
