Green Line Pale Ale is a honey-colored, immensely sessionable American pale ale with a pronounced, bright, American hop aroma and citrus flavor. Notes of biscuit and lightly toasted malt create the backbone for Green Line’s pleasant, crisp bitterness.

On tap at the Chicago O’Hare Airport. Nice to try something new from Goose Island, but disappointing that they didn’t have the Bourbon County Stout promised by the menu. Oh well. Pours a very light orange, nice head. Aroma is light biscuit malt and faint citric hops. Flavor is a match. Not bad, but just a run of the mill pale ale.

Tap at the Rake, golden-amber with an ever so faint haze and a thick fine foam. Light biscuit and peach nose, fruity and softly bitter, turning dry and sweetly grassy, then a dry-sweet bitter finish..

Bottle thanks to Jody. Pours a light gold color. Thing blanket of white head on top. Little to nose hops. Dry finish. This beer is light aqueous and crushable. But it almost offensive with how little it leaves you with flavor wise.

12oz bottle. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is malt and grain with just a little pine. Lightly hoppy - primarily grass and a dull citrus. Some malt up front. Fairly yeast. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle. Initial taste is veggie hops. Clear and pale. Thin head. Off hop aroma. Taste borders on IPA. Better than IPA co2. However, that IPA impact really gets astringently in your face on the finish. Yes, a very heady pale ale fer sure.

From a bottle into a Rodenbach Grand Cru glass. Pours gold with modest head and lace. Aroma is minimal and of subtle malt and grains. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of grains, amber malt, minerals, straw hops, caramel, slight citrus zest, slight white pepper, white grapefruit rind. Overall rich, flavorful, thirst quenching.

Grain and cereal malts, light bread, caramel. Clear gold, medium, creamy, white head. Light sweet. Intense grain and bread malts, caramel, bitterness coming up, dry finish, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Nice APA, well balanced, glad to see a decent cask offering from GI. Cask at the brewery tap room, Chicago.

Bottle. Pours gold with a huge white head that dissipates to a filmy head. Fairly good cling. Aromas of roasted malt and citrus. Flavors are buttered corn, black pepper, roasted malt, bitter citrus, oak and dry grass. Crisp and dry. Peppery hop finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Interesting beer. Not bad.

Pours a clear golden brown from the bottle with thin bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of faint biscuit malt and caramel with an underlying pine hop note. Taste follows, clean and crisp, mild hop, mostly malt, a bit aggressive for a pale. Meh.

Perfectly as described. Bright citrus hops aroma on a yeasty malty backbone, with a slight pleasant bitterness throughout. Very good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
