Draft. Pours black with creamy tan head. Aroma is real nutty with dark chocolate, caramelly too. Flavors prickly carbonation right off the bat, with some nutty cocoa gojng on, finishes dry. Med body. Good stuff, maybe just needs to tone down the carbonation.

A nice and wonderful stout. Dark brown pour with an off white head. Roasty, chocolate and vanilla. Sweet and roast overall. Very enjoyable!

On draft at brewpub, poured a dark brown color, aromas of roast, chocolate, light vanilla, and some light earth. Flavors are the same, light on the palate, little roast on the back end, nice beer overall.

August 6, 2012 on tap at Clybourn. Dark brown pour with limited head. Roasted malt and chocolate in the aroma and taste. Light to medium body with a dry finish. Really wanted to try this on cask, but was just a few hours too early.

Cask. This one is uncarbonated and warm which lends itself to chugging. This is one o those stouts that kind of ends up in the middle of them all style-wise.

À la pompe au pub: Noix de coco, mélasse, miel avec une onctueuse corpulence, Entièrement rôti avec une légère amertume au final.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of toffee, roasted malt, some vanilla and grain. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla and some light notes of coffee. Easy to drink with not much bitterness.

Sample at the Clybourn brewpub. Pours dark brown-black with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, roasted grains and mild hops. The finish is roasty with a sweet malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

On cask at GI Wrigley pub. Aroma: Roasted grain, coffee and burnt toast.. Appearance: Pitch black with brown lasting foam. Taste: Roasted malt with a slightly sweet finish (maple). Palate: Light, no carb, a little sticky. O: Good cask.
