bottle. amber with one finger head. this is definitely one of the beers that helped me start appreciating other styles of beer. consequentally, iím probably overrating this due to nostalgia, but so be it. this is what i think an English bitter should taste like.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. May be the worst Goose Island beer I've had. Nice appearance, so it was at least pretty to look at as it was poured down the drain.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle thanks Poisoneddwarf- Pours clear rusty amber with a one finger head that reduces quickly leaving a skiff of foam. Aroma is like a bitter, rye bread, pepper, subtle caramel malt. The taste is less subtle on the caramel malt, bready and spicy again. Body is medium thin and carbonation is fairly high. Boring and not my style.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma of malts and tropical fruit - pineapple. Pours a medium amber with a mostly diminishing white head and no lacing. The taste is lightly sweet - malt forward. Fruit followed by toasted malts and an aftertaste of biscuit. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, enjoyable. Iíd drink it again bu Iím not sure Iíd buy it again.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark copper/ruby with a big white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and bread crust with slight citrus. Taste of caramel and bread with a hint of peach and only a bit of bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy and medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Easy drinker with nice malty but balanced taste.
