Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

On draft, at the United Center... Beautiful amber color, with nice crisp malt taste, very clean and easy to drink.

Pours a nice reddish color with a good golden head. Aroma is tangy but mild. Flavor is sweet with a tiny bit of grassy hops, nothing too great.

Dark golden pour with minimal head and some yeast remnants floating around. Tastes was hard to pinpoint: sort of sweet and fruity with a crisp tingle left on your tongue. Too sweet for my taste but the crisp, spicy flavor is somewhat unique.

This pale ale is one of the only local brews near me, at first i thought it was a very simple beer and not bitter enough for a pale, but it has now grown on me since it is one of the only micro taps i can find

Jan. 23, 2007; 12 oz. bottle. This was the only serviceable beer I could find at Chicago’s O’Hare Int’l whle passing through there recently, and I was somewhat surprised to see it turn up on a shelf here in Upstate NY today. Amber color, nice balance with a tasty, candyish malt profile and some slightly spicy & fruity hops. The brewers were really on to something here, but stumbled a bit with the lightness & watery finish.

Bottle. Clear and copper pour, decent frothy head. Looks like a nice beer. Aroma is light, some grassy hops and a little malt, not much else. Not much too it in the mouth, a bit of hops, a bit of malt, a bit of water. Actually, it’s pretty refreshing ... probably would make a good lawnmower beer, not so much a middle of the winter beer.

Single bottle purchased in Fayetteville, AR. Pours a clear copper, a frothy and persistent but thin tan head. Some fine lacing in the glass. Smells of sweet citrus and herbal hops. Certainly not the traditional hop varieties to make and English style bitter! Some fruity pale malt aromas too. Taste is lightly sweet pale malt with balancing faint herbal hops. Light in the mouth but nicely balanced and tasty. Not much more going on. A nicely balanced American-style bitter. Would be a nice session beer and is a decent drinker. If it was local, would be a regular.
