COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honkerís Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honkerís Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one youíll look forward to time and again.

Pours a nice amber color with medium head and a little bit of lacing. A mix of flowery hops and caramel malt in the aroma. The malt flavor comes out when I take a drink. Easy drinking, nice on the palate.

Damn smooth pale ale. Orange in color. I drank these while fishing on the boat. damn tastey, but I was mostly concentrating on catching walleye.

Bottled. Dark golden in colour with a medium sized white head. Very nice aroma. Both malty and hoppy and notes of flowers. Well balanced sweetness and good mouthfeel.

Bottle at Galileo Cafe, OíHare Airport, Chicago. Hops and spiciness apparent. Definite notes of black pepper. Akin to Sam Adams in flavour but not mouthfeel. Short, easy finish - great alternative to all the macro crap available at the airport if youíre passing through.

English style? Well, not really. This was a lot better than the average sessioner in my pub here in the English Midlands. Clear amber with a small head. The aroma was very special. Just canít put it into words. Less of the sweetness and sourness than a bitter, and a sharper, spicier hop taste. Might get a few more of these.

Clear and shiny light orange pour with a thin but very persistent cap of butter colored head. Aromas of oranges, candy, and a slight yeasty/Belgian funk, tart and estery. The tartness in the aroma makes it into the flavor, especially noticable on the roof of my mouth. Pleasantly bitter, balananced with a touch of sweetness. A little bit thin. A different sort of APA, but no really shining attributes, and not as clean as I expect for the style.

Very bitter and citrusy. I really like this beer with spicy foods as well as pizza. Honkerís Ale was one of the first "craft" beers I had ever tried, so it was a bit to get used to coming from a Miller Lite upbringing. Iíve stuck with it as Iíve grown as a beer lover, and Iím glad I have. Itís now one of my favorite everyday beers; good quality and taste for a decent price. It may be considered overrated by some, but this ESB/APA has a very underrated ability of expanding the palates of those who are uninitiated to good beer.
