Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honkerís Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honkerís Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one youíll look forward to time and again.

The epitome of an average beer. Pours an orange/amber color with a good white head. Aroma of citrus with some sweetness. Flavor is nicely balanced between the hops and the sweetness of the malts, although the malts win out a bit. Very drinkable, but not particularly impressive.

Honkers Ale pours to a deep orange color with a creamy white head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose is impressive, waves of citric hop aromas marry with biscuit malt aromas. The palate has some nice caramel malt flavor, and some very nice juicy, fruity esters. The body is solid, but not heavy, making this a very drinkable ale that would not be too filling, if you chose to have a few pints. This beer finishes with a nice, citric hop bite that lingers, and lets you know you just had one hell of a good beer. This beer is one of my all time favorites, a staple in my beer fridge. The brewpub on Clyborne is a must visit if you ever find yourself in Chicago. I go for beer and their wonderful bar chips when ever Iím in the Windy City. This beer would work well with a number of dishes. I would pair it with a nice burger with fries, or a NY Strip Steak and a baked potato. A perfect beer to relax with as well.

nice woody amber pour with a thick pocked white head that lingers for a bit. garden aroma with some floral. smells like fresh tilled earth and lillys. tea bag flavor(no, not that kind of tea bag you sicko) with some light oak. a nice lingering bitter finish that foams on my tongue. a bit too much tea bag flavor(o.k. now iím saying it to be funny) for me though, but not a bad brew.

There is a slight malty oder with some hints of fruit. The color is amber with a small white head. The taste is balanced between the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the hops.

One of my favorite easy-drinking beers. Nice sublte floral sweet hops aroma and flavor. Not a beer for contemplation, but Iíd be thrilled if my local sports bar had this on tap. (A football game is long and I donít want 4-5 pints of a big imperial IPA or the like.)

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2010 Good hop presence-floral, malt and citrus-very flavorful. Lots of Cascade hops and strong malt presence. Like a very well done EPA.

I bought this beer before going to my parents place to watch the Bengals play in their first playoff appearance in 15 years. They lost, making this beer the only enjoyable part of my day. 12oz bottle. Hoppy sweet flavor, long bitter finish. Nowhere near overpowering. Simply an enjoyable beer, pleasing for anytime.

Light orange, big head that dissipates quickly, hoppy-sweet aroma, nicely balanced pale ale, citrus and orchard fruit, long pleasantly bitter finish. Simple but enjoyable.
