3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I had two from the same six pack over two days and the most memorable thing about either was how different they were from each other. First was like a Chiswick Bitter from Fullers ... thin, second run, not much mouth feel, not much malt. The second one was better, so let's use the rating from that one, escept that I down graded the overall impression rating number because of how bad the first one was. Good mouth feel and appearance — cloudy reddish brown with good thin lacing. Taste of malt and bitter hops, followed by floral hops. Good lingering bitter finish. The first one I would have to describe as thin, watery, lifeless in the mouth and on the tongue.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Attractive hop aroma, with a hint of fresh-brewed tea. Broadly fruity flavor (grape) and more tea. Slightly limp, lacks a certain richness and depth on the tongue. Golden/amber/red color, clinging head, lingering rounded bitterness. (on tap, Goose Island, Clybourn, Chicago)

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A refreshing beverage, perfect for warm temperatures (although...come to think about it...it was in the 30s outside when I drank this). I'm not sure about the pale ale description however. Flavor is smooth and modestly hoppy with a pleasant citrusy, spicy character evident as the ale enters the throat. In this respect, Honkers Ale reminds me of a sort of "Oberon lite." This is my favorite beer in Goose Island's lineup.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Great aroma, clear amber color. Good flavor not too hoppy.Clean finish. Flavor is not overpowering, but everything doesn't have to be stout.
I like it!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Initally sweet, finishes dry and a little spicy. Has a nice hops prescence. Not bad for Goose Islands flagship brew. Better on tap, but good in the bottle.

Beautiful color, great smell and aroma, but the taste is a little soury for my taste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Malty, straw and gain nose. Slightly cloudy rich copper appearance with off white foamy head. Flavour is initially malty but predominantly hoppy with strawberry hints. Dry lasting after taste with a slight bitterness. Another good beer from Goose Island

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Decent color, nice amber with a good head. Nice full hoppy aroma. Hoppy and dry with a good hop finish. A bit watery.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice amber color with a respectable head. Nice lace. A bit of hops and malt up front, a bit bitter in back that lingers. Very drinkable and yet very unremarkable. More hops would make this a better brew.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Great colour, and a fantastic smell. The flavour was great at first, but quickly faded away. Not a bad beer, but not my favourite APA. A great beer to have real quickly between Terminals 1 & 2 at Chicago O'Hare (ORD).
