Aroma: grain malts, light bread, floral hops, some fruitiness. Appearance: slightly hazy gold, small, frothy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: grain malts again, some citrus fruits, maybe a touch of grapefruit, bitter and dry finish. Overall: sub-standard Bitter, lacks balance, bad palate. Bottle at Jamie’s Wine Bar, London Bridge.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reddish hue. Aromas pick up both hops and malts. Slightly perfumy. Tastes are pretty much the same. Definite caramel on the finish. Some unexpected berries on the swallow. Not a bad beer, but fairly unremarkable.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
It?s an orange Amber brew with glass lacing props. Smells floral and properly malted with notes of grapefruit. Bitter is usually a good thing. Cloying Sour Patch kids meet acetic acid is not so good. This beer?s a good example of the latter.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had this brew at The John Labatt Centre (Budweiser Gardens) in London Ontario.
Been wanting to try a Goose Island product for some time now, and I wasnt disappointed.
Smells like an Ale. No hop smell.
Pours a dark caramel colour. Very little head.
Taste is what an ale should be. Not overpowering.
Good amount of carbonation with little aftertaste.
Overall I was very impressed and I will be having this again in the future.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a nice dark copper color with an average sized khaki head. Mild hop aroma with slight hints of malty biscuit. Flavors are sweet and malty up front, with notes of caramel and biscuit. Very slight hop bitterness at the end. Pretty light body. Overall, this is exactly what I expect from a Bitter.
