Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Dark red body, small off white head. The aroma is quite mellow, and there isn’t too much flavor either. The finish is malty.

Can from the beer store, I know it is a faux craft but needed to try. Smells very hoppy off the start, but little hop taste. Malty, sweetish. Nice beer. Not my fave but will go here again. Certainly beats the daylights out of the usual Labbatt’s offering

The first thing I smell is grapefruit, which is odd because upon closer inspection sweet malts and darker fruits prevail. The taste is odd as well: there is some mild citrus and semi-sweet malts and then...nothing. Very clean with little carbonation. There’s enough going on to make me say ’interesting’ instead of ’flat.’

Boa cerveja mas não chega a ser sensacional. Comprei no pão de açúcar. Vale tomar novamente. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Alta drinkability.

Bottle. Mostly clear amber pour with a white head. Aroma is malty and fruity, sweet with a touch of spice. Flavour is more bitter, not a lot of sweetness; a nice malt-hop balance. Bitterness is a bit medicinal, not a lot of complexity. Definitely a decent bitter, but some pros and cons.

341 ml bottle. Clear medium orange copper, mostly fading off-white foam. Promising fruity hoppy aroma. Taste falls a bit flat, citric herbal hop, faintly floral, lean slightly sweet malts, thin and barely bitter. Softer carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Just okay. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

- Amber brew; fine bubbles – possibly due to wheat in mix? - Nose is slightly fruity but mainly an odd mix of Horlick’s Malt Drink and seawater. - Body is medium, and a balance of biscuit-y malt and soft apricot-y/peachy fruit hops. - Medium ride. Fruity, citric seawater (is that wheat)? twist at end. - A bit like a best bitter, somewhat in the key of Black Sheep Brewery – but fruitier (good) and possibly lighter (not sure if that’s good).

Sampled from a bottle. Clear reddish brown with moderate carbonation. Delicate malty aroma, and a taste of caramel balanced by some hoppy bitterness. Pleasant and easy to drink, but a little low in alcohol and rather bland.
