3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Notes of swamp grass, dirt, pine, butter, and toast. Definitely some roasted malts in here. To be honest, I’m not very familiar with this style and don’t have much of a reference point in terms of how this is "supposed" to taste. It’s not bad, though. I find it interesting enough. Not really a refreshing beer, and not really a hop or malt bomb. I’m getting a little bit of a taste that a Magic Hat beer in a spring mix pack a few years ago had. There’s maybe just a hint of what you’d get in a Stock Ale, an Irish Red, or an ESB blended together. Also reminds me a tad of some of the Wild Goose (defunct mid-atlantic brewer) beers- similar hops or yeast strain, possibly. Low ABV for an American craft beer, but I think that’s characteristic of English-style bitters.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This ale poured a cloudy red Amber colour with a nice, creamy, off white head. Little lacing. Scents include fruit juice and malt. First swig was quite nice with flavours of mild citrus, berries mostly and a nice hop/bitterness level that wasn't overpowering. Finish is lightly fruity with a smooth malty flavour lingering...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(1678-111215)

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Well balanced but unremarkable ale. I think their IPA is a much more interesting beer. I will try this beer again to see if I still feel the same about it.
