Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Clear amber pour. Cloudy eggshell head with lots of retention and lacing. Aroma is very traditional English ale aroma. Biscuity malt aroma and English yeast aroma. Then becomes more american with earthy floral hop aroma on the back end. Flavor is very similar. Malty, bready, yeasty up front. Hop flavor finish. Very smooth neutral finish. ---Rated via iPhone

Deep amber beer with a medium foamy eggshell head. Weak nose of candied nuts, caramel, and toffee, but it’s pretty friggin’ faint. Flavor is mild and watery. I guess there’s some malt there, but it kind of just lays flat on your tongue. It finishes with a bland bitterness. Overall, this beer is pretty tepid. Mouth feel is decent, I guess.

Pours a clear copper color with a dense white head. Aroma of biscuit, caramel and earthy floral hops. Taste is caramel malts, biscuit and light earthy hops. Nice smooth bitterness into the finish with a medium low carbonation. Excellent bitter that’s well rounded and full flavored while being light and sessionable.

12 oz. bottle from City Beer. Nose of light yeast. Balanced bread and buttery malt taste over a mild hop bitterness. Flavors of cereal and biscuit. Not roasted. No floral hops. Not skunky or watered down. Not complex. Light, yet rich, smooth and satisfying malt creaminess much like the traditional lagers of Munich. They really nailed this one. At 4.3 ABV, a delicious session beer.

Had this at a soccer game in Dallas...was better than Bud Light. Had some malts and caramel in there. Wasnt too bad. Worth a shot for an easy going beer

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: moderate, pine hop. Appearance: small, off-white initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-amber body. Taste: lightly bitter, nutty, initial flavor and lightly bitter, bubble-gum and licorice finish with average duration. Palate: light-to-medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: unique (strange) flavor.

Bottle from Booth’s in Ripon. Amber with an off-white head. Fruity with notes of passion fruit and a little spice. A bit on the watery side, but good.
