COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Caught me off guard. Pretty damn good. Nose is sweet. Cinnamon molasses spices. Taste is earthier with a Spicey finish. Deep copper on color. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at the Drury Hotel - St. Louis. Pours clear gold with a creamy topping. The nose has bready malts, mild ripening citrus. Light-medium sweet flavour with some leafy hops, mild piney bitterness, lightly toasted bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet and bready on the finish, with faint metallic bite, some grain, hints of honey, caramel. So so overall.

341 ml bottle from Co-Op Liquor Store, served in my Molson Light pilsner glass. Pours a light cola shade, with plenty of even, slow fine carbonation from all over the glass’ bottom, and a short collar of off-white head that holds firm and leaves fine lace rings. In other words, it looks fantastic. Nose is clean, moderately sweet malt with caramel, touched with spice and nuts, and redolent with fresh tree fruit and red berries; on the tongue, it’s almost all lightly sweet, smooth, doughy malts with a speck of earthiness. Thin-bodied, slightly prickly carbonation, and with a brief, clean, dry finish. Goose Island truly does justice to the ESB profile with Honkers. Altogether delicious and eminently drinkable.

Bottle from Hakim - Color: clear amber beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: caramel malt notes. Toasted malt. Sweet caramel finish. Grassy hops. Taste: medium body with caramel malt balanced with grassy hops and high bitterness. Dry sensation. Caramel finish. Aftertaste: caramel and astringent bitterness. It’s definitely a bitter, but I don’t know why I didn’t enjoy it...

Brewed in Canada by the Labatt Brewing Company (a subsidiary of Anheusaer-Busch-InBev)
The beer pours a translucent light copper colour with a generous foamy light tan coloured head. The aroma is biscuity malt, weak caramel, weak citrus, and earthy hops. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is a mish-mash of caramel up front and citrus in the finish. Easy drinking, but nothing remarkable.

Cerveja de coloração âmbar, boa formação de espuma. Extremamente aromática, aromas cítricos do lúpulo. Sabor equilibrado.

Tap at Madison Avenue Pub in Toronto. What horrible hop extracty crap. Few sips of this was enough. Far cry from even the most random pub Bitters of England.

bottle poured in mug, copper color, little white head, medium carbonation, taste aint as balanced as a ESB usually is, caramel malts and mild hops, silk and low-medium bitterness. wouldnt say is bad but is kind of average, besides, it would pass a pale ale.
