Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honkerís Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honkerís Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one youíll look forward to time and again.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2006 12 oz bottle. Beautiful transmitted orange color; has a cloudy/murky reflected color. Initial reaction = not as good as Bass but better than Redhook; put it just under S.Nevada. Actually well balanced. Excellent aroma, decent lacing. Medium to high on the conditioning bite/sting. APA for sure; trying to copy the Brits using indiginous materials...Got a strange buzz from this beer, and I detect the piney-ness which is in their IPA (someone mentioned that this is the Chinook hop). Tastes like thier IPA w/ less hops.

Very hoppy, a delicious pale ale. I have never had this prior to the AB purchase, but it is wonderful and I donít see what people are so worried about.

While in Chi-town, I tried this at a local pub. Not great. Not bad. Not mediocre. It is what it was, and shall be. It was who I thought it would be, but I let it off the hook. But I digress. If there was a table with this stuff, Schlitz and Blatz, I would pound the Blatz, eye the Schlitz and let the ill-educated city folk have at this overpriced swill. All the while gleaming with VICTORY beaming from my blood shot eyes. Donít question it. Donít bother. Iíve been to Milwaukee so I ought to know.

Bottle. Medium brown color, small head. Roasted, malts, floral hops with very little hop bitterness. Nice balance. Finish is clean and crisp.

Very good beer. Hoppy but not overly so. Decent lasting head and good carbonation.

This a a decent ESB. It has a pleasant aroma and a dcent hop bite to it. It pours brown and doesnt have an overpwering aroma, but it is there nonetheless.

Very nice aroma poured out of the bottle on this one, flowers and spices from the hops. Looks to be bottle conditioned so that is a plus! Quality session brew, and quite a good clone of a british ale for an american brewery ;)

A good PA with hints of being an amber ale. Sweet, caramel malt and a spicy hop finish with subtle fruit. Roasted, sweet malt lingers on the palate. The taste is good, might eb even better if the beer wasnt a little watery. A nice surprise during a layover at OíHare.

Was a very smooth beer with no bitter after taste. It is rather malty but I would definitely drink it again.

I had this on draft at Brighton Music Hall in Boston at a Stranglers concert. The beer was not as good as the show. It was a dark amber color with little head. It had a malt sweetness with a bitter aftertaste. The palette is quickly overwhelmed and the beer goes south fast. My first thought was actually dirty tap lines, so if I get to try it again, I will revise my review.
