COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Big thanks to footballguy TD32 for this midwest brew. Pours a clear amber color that forms into a medium sized head that faded preetty quick. Smell is the smell of a bitter, pretty good. NOt a bad taste, but pretty light IMO for an English Bitter. A solid drinker though, just nothing special.

I’m not a fan of the style, and if 312 or the IPA or any of the seasonals is on tap/on sale I’ll choose that. But if not, its still a solid ale: pretty hoppy without much sweetness.

On tap at the Clarke Street Ale House. Amber in colour and hazy with a thin white head. Sweet taste with a hint of caramel, spices, nutmeg. Complex and quite nice.

Light orange, big head that dissipates quickly, hoppy-sweet aroma, nicely balanced pale ale, citrus and orchard fruit, long pleasantly bitter finish. Simple but enjoyable.

Incredibly malty and hoppy aroma, very sweet. Muddy brown appearance. Really malty, not very ’English country pubs’ to me but better actually. Although slightly surprised by the sweetness, possibly some unfermented malt going on here - not sure. Good, although somewhat simple.

On tap @ Bar Louie’s in Flint. Hard to detect much of an aroma... a little hops, but not much else. Flavor was of malt and hops. It was OK... nothing special.

Damn smooth pale ale. Orange in color. I drank these while fishing on the boat. damn tastey, but I was mostly concentrating on catching walleye.

Hazy, copper color, with a tiny head and minimal lace. Inviting, clean citrus aroma. Flavor is dominated by mild citrus hops, but there is a definite malt presence, as well. A sublte bitterness in the finish. Kind of dry, with nice carbonation. Quite refreshing.

Poured a cloudy amber, with a small head and just a little bit of lacing. Taste is dry, piney hops. Pretty simple and a little thin, but overall good.

Bottle stumbled upon at local grocery store. Pours a rather brownish golden clear beer, with a minimal head. Fruity, biscuity, caramely aroma with some citrus notes. Great body, almost oily in my mouth. Wonderfully hoppy citrus flavor with some grapefruit, more biscuits and some caramel. Slightly bitter. Great balance, I think, and easy to drink. I wouldn’t mind more than one of these!
