COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Orangish, Amber with some red highlights around the edges. Clear. Had a slight off white head with small tight bubbles. Decent head retention. Really hanging around. The smell was of caramel, bread, biscuit with some underlying hints of butter. Nice balance on all aromas. The taste was a bready, biscuit flavor. Slight bit of bitterness at the end and again picking up the buttery flavors. Bitterness kind of fades as the beer warms. The mouthfeel was thin, light, crisp and dry. I do like this beer. I think it would be very drinkable during the fall season. Great all around, solid beer.

This is better than I was expecting. I heard it compared to Anchor Liberty Ale, but this is not as bitterly hoppy. good malt balance.

A very good pale ale, one of the best out there. It’s that sweet lake michigan water that made milwaukee famous, except it’s chicago.

Good malt and hops cobination leaves this sweet, spicy and toasted. Well balanced for an American pale, in which the style tends to be over-hopped. Light citrus and yeast taste. Not exceptional, but a good brew.

Amber color with long lasting medium white head. Spicy on the nose, can’t place the spice at this time. Nice blend of hops and malt flavors.

On tap at Curraghs: Amber in color, minimal head. Had nice flavor but was lacking hops. Definetly better ales out there, but overall it was an okay beer

There was just nothing to this beer. The smell was very light, almost nonexistent. The flavor was very bland and lasted only a short second. Absolutely no aftertaste. I was extremely disapointed by this brew.

Bottle. Light to medium brown in color with a small whitish head. Aroma is very hoppy. Flavor is very hoppy with a little malt. A little better than your typical pale ale.

355ml bottle from The Local Pub, Athens Greece. Poured a copper orange with a big white head. Aromas of caramel and toasted notes. Taste at the same levels with some nice hop bitterness. Long-lasting aftertaste. Light body and low to medium carbonation.

Bottle at Galileo Cafe, O’Hare Airport, Chicago. Hops and spiciness apparent. Definite notes of black pepper. Akin to Sam Adams in flavour but not mouthfeel. Short, easy finish - great alternative to all the macro crap available at the airport if you’re passing through.
