Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honkerís Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honkerís Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one youíll look forward to time and again.

12 oz. Bottle: Transparent Golden with a short lived, but decent sized white head. Aromas are very airy, with some light hops mixed in, also get hints of grains and bread. Flavor is nothign spectacular, grains, slight corn, mellow hops. Finishes short and watery, typical to what I would expect. Like most of their other beers, this would make a nice session beer.

Bottle. Clear and copper pour, decent frothy head. Looks like a nice beer. Aroma is light, some grassy hops and a little malt, not much else. Not much too it in the mouth, a bit of hops, a bit of malt, a bit of water. Actually, itís pretty refreshing ... probably would make a good lawnmower beer, not so much a middle of the winter beer.

Amber in color with little head. It has a mild hop flavor with a hint of malt. This is a very drinkable beer, with a nice balance of flavor.

This is an old standby that I've finally rated, since the wife picked up a batch for her everyday drinking. It had a off white head that lasted a decent amount of time and left lacing. It had a slight roast and bready aroma, followed by a slight hop tang. Taste was sweet malt with the tangy hops flowing in almost immediately. More malt showed up immediately followed by a little more intense hops (almost soapy/citrusy but not quite that intense). Beer appeared orange to amber that you could see through with light to moderate carbonation. Good from beginning to end. It's the Goose Island flagship.
