Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honkerís Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honkerís Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one youíll look forward to time and again.

Mild aroma. Drinkable, much better than most American Adjuncts but not much different.

12 oz bottle. It pours an amber color with a small white quickly fading head. It has a nice malty aroma. This is a incredibly drinkable beer. A mild hop bitterness in the background of a wonderfully rich malty beer. It has a nice toasty taste.

Out of a bottle as part of a variety pack. Enjoyed this ale, thought it had a good taste and went down nice and easy.

Beer poured a slightly cloudy golden orange. Head was foamy and off-white. Wet-dog aroma with mild pine and biscuit. Funky sourness with very earthy flavors. Peat comes to mind. Not sweet. Acrid actually. Hops are prevalent and very dry. An aftertaste like celery! Medium-high carbonation - effervescent - with a dry finish. Medium-light in body. Texture fizzy. A wierd brew but I enjoyed it a lot.

Coming from the Hinterlands of Ontarioís LCBO domain Iíve only seen the Vintage versions of GL beer, which are exceptional. This is the first regular beer, if seasonal, Iíve had. So...Pint poured in a random Philly airport restaurant. Pours dark amber with finer of fluffy beige head. Smells of hops and caramel malt. Taste caramel malts, bitter malts, some ash on the finish with some lingering bitterness. Generally good beer. In a airport no less. 5 years ago it would all be Bud, MGD and Labatt Blue as the import. weíve come a long way baby. Donít worry about this one Tiki.

Boring beer. Pours a light copper with very little head. Smells of some malt, but not much transfers to flavor. Very thin and mostly bland. Not bad, and quite drinkable, just not very interesting.

Not too bad for an ale. A little hoppy but not near as intense as others. I wouldnít turn one down but if itís more than a couple I would probably take a pass...

On tap 7/15 @ "The Second City" comedy theater in Chicago. Pours amber in color with a thin off-white head that diminishes rather quickly. Aroma has hints of a floral hops with some spices. Flavor is sweet and malty with a mild bitter finish. I found this well balanced and easy drinking since I had several pints during the comedy revue.

Not a big fan of bitter beers. this ale has a very bitter aftertaste with hints of fruit and hops in the finish. It is a decent offering for a bitter but really not my style

a nice malty brew from chicago. the honkerís has a nice color and aroma, but ultimately falls a bit short overall. it is still recommended drinking for those with a dislike for hops/a liking of malts.
