Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Bottle from Utobeer. Copper red colour with beige head and yeasty hop aroma. Quite good minerally malt, some caramel. Hoppy grapefruit/tangerine finish. They’ve more or less done what they wanted, an English bitter (bit of boiled sweet) with green US hops

UPDATED: APR 26, 2011 Bottle, 12oz. A slightly hazy, golden body with an orange tint. Finger-thick, diminishing, off-white head. Fruity, slightly citrusy, bready nose in the English way. Quite sweet flavor with bread crusts and citrus. A bit low on bitterness. Medium body, and a pleasant level of carbonation. Bready, citrusy finish with some bitterness. A pleasant beer, well suited for a drinking session. Rating: 6-3-6-3-13-3.1. 090412

Bottle. It pours a clear, at least almost clear, pale amber body and a small off-white head. Some lacings occur. The aroma has pale malts and canned tropical fruits, rather sugar-ish. The flavor confirms that impression, it’s rather sugary sweet, with lots of peaches and a nice backbone of bready malts. Medium body, smooth. Some metallic notes in the else quite balanced finish. Overall, a beer probably more suited for autumnal drinking than for the hot spring days we have here right now. 110426

Bottle, 4.3%. Clear amber colour, small stable white head. Very caramelly aroma. Teaish, almost to the point of Swedish snuff. Caramelly flavour, also a bit teaish. Quite flavourful for ABV.
