(bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, orange amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet cara-malty and slightly nutty aroma with fruity (citrus, grape-fruit) and slightly spicy hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Cara-malty, initially bready and subtle nutty taste with fruity aroma hops; almost dry, sweet-bitter but also a bit slim and short finish. Otherwise an aromatic and likeable Ale. 22.II.10

I can’t believe I’ve never rated this before. The pour is a deep burnished copper colour with a thick off white head… pretty good looking really. Lovely nose with a soft fruitiness composed of cherry and a touch of berries. There is a bit of caramelly/bready character on the back. Soft and chewy with just a bit of herbal/spicy hoppiness. Fruity and lovely. Really, quite a surprise how much I like this.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2012 I really liked this one. Golden orange colour with little head. Hoppy fruity (orange) aroma. The flavour is also orangey and very smooth a typical pale ale taste. Very pleasant and moreish. It appears this is right up some people’s street but not others. I’m a fan though. Score 3.9

330ml bottle (K CM, Helsinki) - at 4.7% (supermarket strength)
Rich amber, small persistent head. Lovely sweet fruity hoppy aroma. Some more savoury and spicy aromas too, more like UK hops. Gentle carbonation, smooth palate. Caramelly maltiness, and also a fruity sweetness, augmented with a tasty well balanced bitter hoppiness. Some hints of soap occasionally. Fruity and spicy hoppy finish. A touch sticky alas. However, it’s a good effort from a US brewer at this strength, better than your average UK bitter.

Draught at Flying Saucer in Little Rock. Pours copper with a tall foamy off-white head and spotty lacing. Aroma is floral citrus hop, caramel medium roasted malt (meal) with trace yeast. Medium bitterness and acidic hop flavor, malt body, low sweetness and lasting flavor. Medium bodied and crisp, refreshing palate.

On tap. Pours with a clear amber body and a fluffy, off-white head. Some light fruits, malts and light saw dust. Taste is fruity, malty, with honey and a bit of spiced tea. Very subdued, but a great session. Kind of thin, water like on the mouth with decent carbonation.
