DATE TASTED: February 13, 2014... GLASSWARE: Kisatskyís Tavern pint...OCCASION: snow day half done--part two of the storm, beginning now ... APPEARANCE: classic amber body with steady effervescence; beautiful snow white head that creates wonderful, patterned lacing... AROMA: butterscotch, hazelnut, and light yet fragrant hops are counterbalanced by the expected English bitter malts...PALATE: active, medium bodied yet easy-drinking, as the label advertises...TASTE: bitter indeed--slightly abrasive bite tempered by unmistakable ESB maltiness--drinkable and enjoyable, but not overtly winning... OVERALL: a strong representation of the style, with the proper strength, mouthfeel and flavor to elicit a sessionable night; a second quality offering from Goose Island, after the 312 Wheat...

Cerveza color ámbar rojizo corona de espuma pequeña de burbujas compactas. Aroma a maltas secas y ligeramente frutal. Al paladar se percibe un amargor sutil con notas a maltas, al retrogusto predomina las notas a maltas secas. Cerveza agradable para una tarde calurosa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draught at the Irish Embassy. Almost no aroma, probably because itís so cold. Golden brown with thin white head. Typical bitter flavours of biscuit, bit of lemon and caramel. Not too bad, but rather boring.

330ml bottle served in an ordinary glass. Pours a beautiful clear amber color forming a medium light yellow head with medium retention and some spotty lacings left in the glass. Sweet nose. Strong notes of caramel and resin. Grassy and citrus notes. Sweet upfront mouth too. Again, strong notes of caramel and resin. Grapes. Medium bitterness. Hops have notes of resin and grass. Hints of pine. In overall, a dry taste. Light body. Medium carbonation. Caramel and resin in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. English Bitter with a slightly American accent.

Pours copper brown with white head. Nose is malt, some slightly floral hops. Taste has a smooth whole wheat bread flavor, with definite bitterness from the hops. Moderate carbonation, nice mouth feel. Bitterness isn't overpowering. Nice blend of flavor here. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
