COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Smells of cereal and toast. Pours clear copper with a thin white head. Taste is somewhat metallic and bland, but finishes with strong malt flavors.

This ale poured a cloudy red Amber colour with a nice, creamy, off white head. Little lacing. Scents include fruit juice and malt. First swig was quite nice with flavours of mild citrus, berries mostly and a nice hop/bitterness level that wasn't overpowering. Finish is lightly fruity with a smooth malty flavour lingering...

Pours clear dark orange with thin white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Taste is malty, light sweet with light bitterness at the end. Light body, dry, soft carbonation.

(1678-111215)

Well balanced but unremarkable ale. I think their IPA is a much more interesting beer. I will try this beer again to see if I still feel the same about it.

Nice nutty aroma with hop hints, modest head and good dark copper body. Nice malt flavour with sharp hop finish. Highly drinkable.

Aroma: grain malts, light bread, floral hops, some fruitiness. Appearance: slightly hazy gold, small, frothy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: grain malts again, some citrus fruits, maybe a touch of grapefruit, bitter and dry finish. Overall: sub-standard Bitter, lacks balance, bad palate. Bottle at Jamie’s Wine Bar, London Bridge.

Reddish hue. Aromas pick up both hops and malts. Slightly perfumy. Tastes are pretty much the same. Definite caramel on the finish. Some unexpected berries on the swallow. Not a bad beer, but fairly unremarkable.
