COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

The appearance was a copper yet transparent body with some amber notes here and there. It had a creamy colored head that disappeared within a couple seconds. It left a foamy ringy lacing. The smell had some light yet sweet malts. The taste is fairly dry and sweet throughout the beer. There is some toasted bread notes in the taste. The palate is about a light to medium. It is slightly crisp and stays carbonated throughout the beer. Overall, this was pretty good, sweeter than most English bitters, but still decent.

It was OK, seemed to have a metallic taste, not heavy in taste and aftertaste, rich redish color, not bad but not great either ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beautiful deep amber pour (almost expecting a Jurassic Park mosquito inside). Great thick beige head. Aroma faint of caramel and bread. Taste is wonderfully balanced with fruity/spicy hops and smooth caramel malts. Perfect bittersweet smooth drinkability for a rich session ale at 4.3 ABV.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Pint mug From: Vons in Lakeside, Calif. Price: $13.99 for a variety 12-pack Purchased: Feb. 5, 2015 Consumed: Feb. 6, 2015 Misc.: Bottled on Oct. 23, 2014 Poured a copper, caramel color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy, khaki head. Thinned out rather quickly. Decent amount of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. No lacing. Minimal retention. (Sight - 3.25) Smelled roasty nuts, sugary caramel, toffee, light chocolate, honey, cereal, toast, some grass hops and light Citrus hops. Nice on the nose. (Smell - 4.00) First taste reminded me of Honey Nut Cheerios. Also nuts, roasty bitter malts, earthy grass hops, light iced tea, toast, caramel, toffee, faint metallic notes and faint chocolate. (Taste - 3.63) Medium body. Thin-to-oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, nutty, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.38) This was just an OK beer. I wouldn’t seek this out. (Overall - 3.50) 3.63 82 B

12oz bottle from Wegmans, Buffalo, NY. Amber with a billowing cream head; fruity aroma; malty taste with a pleasnt light bitterness. A pleasant enough "ordinary" bitter.

Bottle, 355ml. Sparkling amber with a creamy to minimal offwhite head. Mild aroma with faint notes of caramel, bread and a slight fruitiness. Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation. Sweet and moderately bitter, with a hoppy roasted character and a controlled, mild hop bitter finish. Drinkable, brewed for cheapness.
