COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.

Bottle from Safeway, Rubery, West Mids. Amber coloured ale with a petit, soft head. Sweet aroma - like an iced bun. Very fresh, grassy bitter, remarkably clean across the palate. Reasonably bitter, with some dryness in the finish. Refreshing stuff, that leaves a sparkle in the mouth, but not too complex.

Amber coloured. Good balance between hoppy bitterness and malty sweetness. Slightly fruity as well.

Orangish-amber with virtually no head to speak of, but fairly well carbonated. Sweet mandarin orange aroma. Sweet and citric at first gulp, with little power to back it up. Goes down far too easily.

Good Session Beer....I’m on number 6 right now....’hicup’ Pours burnt orange colored with a nice head that fades quickly. Aroma is not offensive and not very strong. Tastes like most pale ales. It’s a staple that Chicago can be proud of!

Draft at Mother Hubbards. Went here a couple of times after work at midnight. I was glad they were open until 4am! Came out coppery amber. Nose is hoppy and lightly floral. Nose reminded me of a pale ale, but more towards American now that I’m seeing this as an English style. Taste is hoppy, floral, dry malts, and light nutty notes. Body is medium and has average carbonation. Finishes with more floral notes, soft citrusy hops and malts notes. Subtle spices as well. Not bad.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with kramer17801 (thanks!). Bottle labeled BB 031007. Poured a medium and slightly hazy orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel and some citrus. Tastes of toasted malts, caramel, and some citrus. Drinkable but kinda boring.

Pours reddish w/white hoppy head. Not to bitter, not too bad, not too exciting either.

Pours a brownish amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of floral hops, toasted malts, caramel, and some yeast. Flavor is pretty well balanced with the hops and toasted malts, but it seems a touch watery and doesn’t have much of an after taste. Wasn’t too impressed with this brew.

Dark amber beer with a little white head. Bitter fruit aroma is detectable but not too strong. Flavor is front-loaded with citrusy hop tang before rolling into a finish that is perhaps too clean. Refreshing though.

12 oz bottle. Good head and lacing. Adequate bitterness, although the flavor / body didn’t last very long- kind of dies at the end, and even tasted a very slight hint of sweetness / ’soapiness’ in the finish which I wasn’t expecting. I like this beer, but it’s not in the same league as Young’s Special London or even Anchor Steam Liberty.
