Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honkerís Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honkerís Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one youíll look forward to time and again.

This is a tasty, satisfying, solid ale. It is amber with a thin offi-white head that dissipates steadily. The aroma is malty grain, yeasty dough, and a hint of sawdust and pine. The taste has both malt and hops noticeable, with some sweetness and bitterness, a somewhat bitter finish before a nice grain aftertaste. The flavours improve and rellow blend together nicely after the first couple tastes and itís great to drink over time. Ultimately, itís a solid, smooth, tasty, easily drinkable beer with a solid ale character. The taste is similar to a good English bitter but with a slightly less rich/complex malt character and slightly more hop character.

Goose Island Honkerís Ale is a clear, solid amber ale with a soft, creamy, off white whipped fluff of a head that has outstanding retention and lacing. The aroma is fruity, wooden, botanical and dank with a hint of sweetness. Itís medium bodied, smooth and fluffy and the finish is a little gritty. Itís not sweet or dry with nice balance all around. There are flavor notes of wood resin, wild flowers and a green bitterness. This makes for a high quality session ale.

English style meets APA in almost perfection. Goose Island never disapoints.

On draft at Clybourn goose island brewpub. Wow, this was an excellent APA. The hops and malt was very balanced. Aroma is faint grapefruit, semi sweet, and hoppy. Color is amber. Taste is semi sweet, citrus hops, malty, and caramel taste. Finish is crisp, clean, and not lingering. A must try. A. This would be great with a burger, steak, or pork chops.

Clear Dark Orange with a bunch of carbonation going on. Flavor consists of bread, yeasts and slight floral hops, not very complex but it tastes awesome. Feels nice and crisp on the palate. Itís a good beer to drink for any occasion, and sort of like the deScription says: Youíll look forward it to time and again!

Pours amber color with a thick white head. Not overly bitter but definitely has a slight taste.

Great caramel smell, malty with a berry fruit sensation on the nose. Taste follows with a lot of caramel, biscuity berry and hop hints. Crushable, supremely pairable with most foods. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated 6/9/06: Amazing beer from Goose Island, to date they have yet to let me down. Pours a dirty copper color with a medium thick off-white head, ample lacing and good carbonation. The aroma is outstanding containing a slightly mellow blend of flowery hops and lots of malt. The aroma reminds me of a low key IPA. As I sip on a few of these Iím amazed at the awesome flavor. The hop characteristic is near perfect. They are very present but not overdone. Strong blend of malts keep me intrigued. The balance is perfect. Full mouthfeel with a great finish and pleasant aftertaste. Fantastic beer, I canít say enough about this one.

Delicious. Coloring is not that impressive but it provides a nice white head with definite wheat flavors that are not too over powering
