Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

FROM NOTES: November 22, ’13. A: A simple nose of citrus and pine hop aromas with light notes of Kiwi or other tropical fruit. A: Clear orange color with a one-finger head. T: Somewhat more subtle and watery than the nose suggests. The flavors are not as strong as I would have expected but it does have a nice pine and resin aftertaste, as you would want in an IPA. P: Light in body with a mildly dry texture and a soft carbonation. O: A decent IPA, but not quite bitter enough for an IPA but still tasty.

355ml bottle bought from Morrisons Saltney, poured into a tulip glass. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a small but long lasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet with citrus and hops. Taste is hoppy and spicy with a crisp dry finish, nicely carbonated. Excellent IPA, very easily drinkable

I had this at Global Brew. Pours golden with a white head. Taste citrus, sweet, pine. I thought was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lettdrikkelig. Grei munnfølelelse, litt tynn kanskje. Savner litt mer "sting" i denne, men dog bra. Medium bitterhet i ettersmaken.

35.5cl Bottle: BBD 5th Apr 14, poured into a Duvel glass on 19th Nov 13. Orange to old goal body, slight haze: on top there sat a full, deep head of foaming bubbles. The nose is fairly sweet, tropical fruits, mild grapefruit notes and pine nut esters. The taste was also semi-sweet and again, like the aroma it had tropical fruit hints, a citrus feel with a few nuts thrown in for good measure. Add a yeasty undertone and you end up with a fine tasting beer. Not like many IPA’s I’ve had before, but most enjoyable.

Poured a clear golden amber colour with a two-finger white foamy head that retained well and produced curtain-like lacing. Carbonation very low with only a few large bubbles. Aroma of nice citrus/grapefruit hops and a touch of spice. Taste of sweet malt and slightly bitter citrus. Light to medium body. Creamy/slippery mouthfeel. A bit sweeter than other IPAs and with a slightly bitter finish; on the lower end of bitterness for an IPA but still a good beer.
