COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

From notes, O’Caseys, Manhattan, 6-7-14. On Tap, Poured slightly hazy golden. Aroma of flowers, lemon. Taste is nicely balanced between the sweet malt and bitter hops. Light body, smooth, nice light small bubble carbonation. Finishes with hints of oranges, lemon zest and herbs. Very nice!

Aroma: hoppy aroma, more floral than citrusy unlike the IPAs I’m used to. As it gets warmer, the caramel and baking bread aroma is more evident. Appearance: really doesn’t look great, poured into a glass from a bottle and the head was white but not pillowy, more like broken bubbles which immediately turned into a very thin layer of head that actually had staying power. Taste: a good medium body, not too bitter Palate: I felt the palate was outstanding, just enough bitter to keep it interesting. Pleasant long finish. Perhaps a bit thin. It is medium bodied on the tongue but then feels light bodied on the palate. I would drink again and again.

Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. Smells of spruce, bread, grapefruit. Taste is bitter and sweet - moderate hops giving pine and little citrus with moderate malt backing of bready sweetness.

Foffern (1301) - Bodø, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2014
Bottle at Piccadilly, Bodø. Pours a slightly hazy orange colour with a medium, creamy and light beige head. Fruity aroma with grapefruit, citrus and fruity hops. The flavour is also fruity with tones of peaches, oranges and more fruity hops. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A very fruity and easy drinking IPA.

Cybion (75) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2014
Bottle, 355 ml. Pours a pale, cloudy amber with around half a finger of soapy white head. Lacing is quite thick. Aroma of pine resin and floral hops, lemon, honey, apricot, pineapple with a backdrop of caramel malts. Malts are more present in the taste, being of a bready or yeasty nature, perhaps even with a tiny bit of cheese, though the notes of honey, citrus, pineapple and hoppy bitterness are still coming through in full force. Body is a good medium and carbonation is moderate, making for a smooth feel in the mouth. Could be a little sharper and hoppier, but other than that does everything a fine IPA should.

UXO (414) - CANADA - JUN 2, 2014
(On tap) Pours a clear light gold with one finger of fluffy head diminishing gradually to a thin cap, moderate lacing. Nose is bright pine and citrus hops against toasty biscuit malt. Taste follows suit, with grapefruit hops followed by mild malt and finishing with a lingering bitterness. Mouth feel is light- to medium-bodied, with low carbonation and an off-dry bitter finish. Not bad at all. A fairly straightforward IPA, but not at all unpleasant. Easy drinking, with a pleasantly crisp texture and a decent hop profile.

bieremoi (31) - FRANCE - MAY 31, 2014
Pours a orange golden color with no cloudiness and 2-3 cm of head. Heavy on the hops, grapefruit, nice mouthfeel. Medium alcohol content makes it a very good sessionable beer. Solid but not amazing.
