COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Pours hazy hazy golden with a solid white head that stays until the first sip. Great lacing on the side of the glass is left by the head. Great bitter hops aroma of what smells to be fuggles and a slight fruity undertone. Flavor starts off bitter of fuggles and moves into a great sweet malty flavor to finish. Great IPA.

Pours kind of a smoky peach color, with 2 fingers of a fluffy white head. Floral hop aroma with a hint of pine. Well balanced flavor, very limited initial hop bitterness followed by a very nice sweet malt flavor. Nice smooth and creamy beer with a sticky and oily palate. An easy to drink beer, but a step below the top tier IPA’s in terms of complexity and flavor.

very light in body for as hoppy as it is. moderately out of balance, bitterness stays with you a little too long.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. This beer poured a hazy light amber color with a small beige head that fades slowly. Some light lacing is left behind. The aroma is fruity, citrus hops along with some light toffee notes. The flavor consists of orange, grapefruit, and some lightly sweet malts. Very nicely balanced for an IPA. The mouthfeel is light and slightly watery. Light to medium-bodied. A solid IPA from Goose Island.

Bottle. Seemed like a pretty standard IPA. Good amount of hop bitterness which was supported nicely by a pretty strong malt backbone.

Golden pour with a red tint. Thick fluffy white head. Piny dry hop aroma with lots of roasted malt and fruit. Sweet fruity start with hints of citrus and peach. Hoppiness takes over. There’s a surprising amount of malt. Nice easy to drink balanced beer, though very weak for an IPA.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a white creamy head. Fruity hoppy aroma - mango, orange & peach - nice & inviting. Very dry & bitter taste with some caramel. Crisp & nice!

Inexpensive beer brought from Trader Joe’s. Nice, easy drinking IPA with great citrus especially grapefruit aroma and flavor. A bit too little hop bite, maybe a bit too much malty sweetness for me, but very nice. I’m coming to understand I like this sort of beer more than the general rater.

Cloudy orange with a small white head. Caramel pine and citrus in the aroma. Dry with some malt flavour. Limited bitterness and hop flavour, but a tasty easy drinker.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a golden amber with a medium head. Aroma is strong grapefruit hops with perhaps even a little lemon. Flavor is at first dominated by grapefruit and other citrus flavors with somewhat low bitterness for an IPA, but unfortunately there are also some more grassy notes that throw the flavor off for me. I enjoyed this at first, but it turned out to be a bit of a miss for me compared to where it started.
