COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Pours a lightly hazy deep amber with nice golden highlights and a medium foamy off white head that laced. Aroma of floral and citrusy hop notes, caramel, toffee and nuts. Flavor of fig newtons, toffee, caramel, nuts, floral, light pine and citrus.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark gold with one finger white head. Nose is caramel malt and light hops. Taste is sweet malt upfront with a mild hop finish. Medium mouth feel. Meh, not one of the better GI offerings.

12 oz. bottle. A very good beer that I can find nearly anywhere. Not the best, but better than most. A good burst of hops that doesn’t linger very long. Easy to drink.

12oz bottle... poured nice golden color, decent head, decent lacing. Wonderful aroma of citrus. I wasn’t overly impressed with the flavor. It started off strong with big dose of hops, but didn’t hold well and finished abruptly. I was looking for a little more body out of this one. This is a refreshing beer.

Pours a nice dark amber in color. There’s about three inches of head atop the beer. Smell is piney hops. Taste is more of the piney, grassy hops. There’s a little bit of a juicy, citrus hop flavor as well. Very good, biting mouthfeel. This is a good IPA.

On tap in manhattan. Pours a clear maroon color, very attractive looking right from the start. Aroma is very very hoppy and floral with a little citrus and pine. Taste also reflects the high hop character and is bitter but balanced out by sweet citrus. Palate is smooth given the bitterness. Solid domestic IPA.

One of my go to beers. Goose’s IPA is a nice, easydrinking balanciado of pleasant citrusifruit hoppage and malt just light enough to avoid disturbances. Very tasty and easily my favorite of the Goose six-pack selections.

I’ll be honest. I have always been a big fan of Goose Island. They may not be considered one of the best micros in America, but I believe that their beers are all extremely well-crafted and very true-to-style. Of the many IPA’s Iv’e tried, this one has long been one of my favorites for it’s high drinkability and awesome balance. It pours a neat, appetizing rustic orange color with a medium to small head that quickly dissipates into nothing. The aroma is fresh and curious; full of orange marmalade, citrus, spruce and pine. The beer screams "Drink Me!" from the first sniff. It has the utmost hint of toasted malt and a fuzzy, charming tongue-tingling mouthfeel, shining before the bitter, drying, ultra-appetizing finish. The taste is blustery, spicy and peppery and has a whole lot of orange peel, citrus zest, chives, and a woodsy, minty, coppery palate. I love to pair this beer with some aged swiss, cream havarti, or smoked gouda. It is, in a word "stupendous." The finish is very long, leaving a pleasant, lingering orange-flower taste on the tongue.

Draft at Goose Island Clybourn brewpub. A clear pale gold, little head or carbonation - seems to be a trend here. Lovely aroma of... well... of marijuana. Lovely fresh hop flavour. And there’s that weed again. This is wonderful stuff. The star of the show at Goose Island this evening. They are out of the Imperial IPA - I can’t imagine what that would be like. Hard to top this.
