Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

On tap at The Hairy Monk in NYC. Poured a nice orange yellow color, crystal clear with lots of carbonation. Aroma was mild hops and malt. Flavor was a bit hoppy, but nothing extreme. Perfectly serviceable session beer, if a bit high on the ABV for a good sessioner.

bottle 33 cl. Small thick beige head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Clear amber color. Aroma of light sweet grass, light floral, caramel, toasted malt. Over the palade came light grapefruit, sweet fruity notes. Modium bodied, average carbonation, light dry texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Light dry bitter amd fruity sweet finish.

Pale yellow with white head and faint citrus aroma. On the tongue, the hops step up in flavor and blend well with the malt. Finishes clean and makes for a very nice brew. On tap at Pour House in NYC

Tried from the bottle via utobeer. Tried this last week and when reviewing my notes the words sweet and soapy jump out at me! Smells ok, lemongrass and citrus has a light body and not to much bitterness unfortunately...i’ve had better APA’s to be honest!

very mild for an ipa quite smooth.not very hoppy. I once again I taste unsweetened ice tea. perhaps it is only my palate, but I frequently find less hopped IPAs to taste this way. very drinkable but lacking the citrus I expect from an IPA.

This was from a 12 oz bottle and poured a cloudy orange with moderate head and good lacing. Big citrus nose and a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter and show pine notes. Long bitter finish. Very nice drinking IPA.

Consumed at fifty degrees. A nice surprise. Pours light orange with thin head and almost suspended carbonation. Smells of faint citrus and slight pine. Hops up front and bready out the back with surprising balance for the lack of abv. An enjoyable ipa, but nothing outstanding.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 BOTTLE / TAP: slightly hazy yellow pour, citrus hop aroma. Mouthfeel is somewhat malty/creamy, very pleasant, with a very well balanced malt/hop taste. Very good IPA.

Dark orange pour with light amounts of sediment. Aroma of tough hops. Taste is biting on the initial, with a decent amount of hoppy bitterness. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Would like more flavors than just hops.
