Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2009 Bubbly pale orange with a sustained head. Sweet and floury aromas. Honeyed sweetness on the tongue. Very smooth with a buttery thick finish. A little sweet for an IPA. I know my score seems harsh but I drank this straight after a Stone IPA and there really is no comparison. 2.7 Now, having had this alone I have to say it is rather lovely. The hop notes are so green and fresh. It reminds me of a Thornbridge Halcyon on a not-so-intense scale.

This beer has some really nice aromas of citrus and pine from the hops. Lots of differing flavors of grapefruit, pine, and mild grassiness. This is a very nice go to beer.

tap at goose island clybourn... nearly transparent orange brown pour with a medium to significant soapy white head.... aroma of light, clean citrus hops... citrisy hope flavors, a good portion of it grassy, and finishes off on a sweet/earthy bitter note. quite palatable and goes down easy.

Drank from a bottle. Poured a cloudy, copper-like color with a small head. Smelled of hops and slight citrus. Really well balanced taste with a little bite on the tongue. Very good IPA from Goose.

Tap... Poured clear orange-amber with a frothy head. Floral aroma with hops and malt. Thick palate with a nice sizzle on the tongue. Flavors of sweet juice and floral herbs, leafy hops and malt for balance. Great, solid IPA.

Pours a light, murky orange with a small white head. Aroma is of hops, citrus, malt, and pine. Taste is of slightly bitter hops, with citrus and pine. Nice caramel malt backbone. Not overly bitter, but very sweet. A very drinkable beer.
