COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2006 I was pleasently suprised by how good this was. This IPA really is as good as any other American IPA Iíve had. Huge hop aroma and huge citrusy grapefruit aroma. Has all the best qualities that an IPA has that I enjoy.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2006 A lot of citris taste that hits you hard mid palette. Very clean but hoppy finish, just too much citris for me, but a good beer.

Nice golden color. Smell of wonderful hops. Taste of rye, and sweet hops. Nice dry bitterness at the end.

12 oz Bottle: Pours a mostly clear honey color with a medium size frothy off-white head that is mostly lasting. The hoppy spicy aroma is fruity with hints of citrus and pineapple. Flavor is sweet and fruity with pineapple and grapefruit finishing with a lime bitterness. This beer is very refreshing to drink since the hops do not overpower you in the finish. Delicious!

Imagine, if you will, a soldier coming home from war. He arrives at his home, his mother waiting for him, he walks up and gives her a hug. Thats the feeling drinking this beer gives me when I drink something else and then come back to it.

Grapefruit and spicy herb flavour, honey coloured with a fizzy head. Odd bitterness for an IPA, aftertaste lingers a bit too long.

bottle 12 oz. Not quite clear golden with good carb & large OW head & fair lace. Aroma is semi sweet malt, grapefruit, & hops. Flavor is sweet malt, grapefruit, & hops followed by a rather bitter hop finish. Itís too sweet for me, with a pronounced hop burn & bite. Unbalanced. Too heavy on the bittering hops, which donít seem to fit in right, and not enough hop flavor. Reminds me of SNPA.

Pours orange amber with off-white head that fades. Strong hoppy orange citrus aroma with a flavor to match. Nice malt balance in the finish.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2007 Tasted 08/04/2006. 330ml bottle from Rumbleís, Wellington. Pale gold, with a brief pure-white head and soft carbonation. Perfumey bouquet of sweet malts, stonefruit blossom, citrus and pine sap. Chewy, somewhat sappy, malts up front, with dry orangey notes through the middle, and an intensely bitter, slightly metallic, finish. Lingers on and on and on. Medium body, mild carbonation. Simple and very well made. Very much a hop lovers fantasy but with a good malt balance. Retasted 01/10/2007. Fantastic balance of intensity between malt and hops. Gorgeous, and worth more than my original 3.9.
