Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

very mild for an ipa quite smooth.not very hoppy. I once again I taste unsweetened ice tea. perhaps it is only my palate, but I frequently find less hopped IPAs to taste this way. very drinkable but lacking the citrus I expect from an IPA.

This was from a 12 oz bottle and poured a cloudy orange with moderate head and good lacing. Big citrus nose and a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter and show pine notes. Long bitter finish. Very nice drinking IPA.

Consumed at fifty degrees. A nice surprise. Pours light orange with thin head and almost suspended carbonation. Smells of faint citrus and slight pine. Hops up front and bready out the back with surprising balance for the lack of abv. An enjoyable ipa, but nothing outstanding.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 BOTTLE / TAP: slightly hazy yellow pour, citrus hop aroma. Mouthfeel is somewhat malty/creamy, very pleasant, with a very well balanced malt/hop taste. Very good IPA.

Dark orange pour with light amounts of sediment. Aroma of tough hops. Taste is biting on the initial, with a decent amount of hoppy bitterness. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Would like more flavors than just hops.

Pours a clear golden woth white head and lacings. Sweet with some dryness. Quite hoppy with aromas of grapefruit and slightly citric hops. Soft carbonation. Medium body. Quite dry finish.

Spicey shoe leather, lemon with eraser adn cheap wine. This medium yellow beer with a white short-lived head is nothing if not interesting... Flavor is pleasant, bitter and sweet with something original in the middle. Citrus and pine in an old suitcase, Very drinkable, but the finifsh makes you want somethin else, so you take another sip to get rid of the plain bitter and dust. I bet a lot of people like this beer a lot!

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2009 Botella. US rating no. 400. Deep golden orange colour. Aroma of hops indeed with citrus and some ripe fruit. Very good mouthfeel. The flavour has a very pleasant fruity hoppiness with some citrus and little pine. Dry long lasting hoppy fruity finish. Nice!

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2010 Draft. Included as part of a sampler at the brewpub. Tried many of the GI offerings over several visits to the brewpub while living in Chicago. I remembered liking pretty much everything but do not remember specifics. 3/10 - They now sell this in bottles on the east coast so I got to retaste. Upping the score as it is a pretty solid (though nothing spectacular) IPA
