3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle from duane (i think), pour is a deep cloudy golden color with a creamy off white head that sits on top the entire time. aroma is a ton of flowery hops, a little bit of citrus. flavor starts out very grassy and but balances out very nicely with just enough malts to cut off the bitterness. aftertaste goes back to the hops, and there is a distinct bitter tail the mouthful which lingers for a while.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very pale straw-gold, with a nice thick cap of creamy white head, that settles slowly, leaving some nice lacing. Lemon/citrus and herbal hop character, soft, clean, a little bit sweet. Bracing lemon bitterness with a good clingy lingering character. Some odd vegetal character in the finish. A decent IPA, but a bit rough and imbalanced here and there. Some strange distracting off tastes, and rather subdued in aroma.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle acquired in trade with Ughsmash. Poured a medium and hazy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of stronger pine with some grapefruit. Tastes of citrus and pine. Has a light sweetness to it in addition to the bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft @ Clybourn - Sparkling gold, creamy white head. Nose was loaded with grapefruit, earth, and light piney tones. Flavor matched with dry citric hops and earthiness throughout, but no real malt backbone to speak of. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, Mojave dry bitter finish. Not bad, but I like my IPA’s less one dimensional....

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is probably my favorite session IPA. Has a lot of grapefruityhoppiness. Hazy golden color with a creamy white head that leaves tons of lacing. I could (and have) drink this all day and never tire of it.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Much better than I anticipated. Of course hops dominate aroma, taste and aftertaste, with a nice bitterness to go with. Much more full and developed than I remembered from last time.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2005 Light amber, almost oragnish with a dense mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma of piney citrus hops. Lots of hops everywhere but bitterness is kept subdued. Some underlying toasted malt provides some balance, but the hops overwhlem over tastes. Smells fruitier than it tastes.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slightly cloudy golden yellow color, a strong floral hops aroma with pine. Hops are definitely abundant in this fine refreshing tasting beer. Not much maltiness, bitterness is initally strong than mellows, yet the piney taste of the hops still linger pleasantly at the finish. I have tasted several Goose Island brews and this is one of my favorites.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is strong hops and pine, with some citrus floating in and out. Appearance is translucent copper, with a pure white head that dissipates very fast. The flavor is hops, hops, and more hops. Enters strongly bitter, with those hops and their pine flavors dominating the slight maltiness that comes through. The bitter finish stays on the back of your tongue long you swallow the beer. Good for the style, but a little too one-dimensional for me. I would have liked more malt to come through in the flavor, and the finish is just too bitter for my tastes.
