Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

Copper-colored with loads of citrus for the nose. More citrus than pine on the palate but distintcly un-balanced towards hops, just the way an IPA should be. Completely under-rated here IMHO, this is my favorite straight IPA. Thank you Goose Island.

This was the very first IPA I ever tried and it is still one of the best. Pours brown with a large white head. The hoppy taste is good on the palate. Goose Island knows their beers and this is one of their bests.

brown with large white head. flavor initially of some crystal malt before a nice hop bitterness and flavor. the malt aspect may not be as well balanced as some of the better versions of the style, but a decent representation overall. not bad

Draft: Light copper color with a fluffy white head...notes of light pineapple and mango hit leadoff and are followed up by a wonderful floral hop tone. Medium-light body...flavor consists of a nice floral-citrus to start and finishes with a nice, bittered pineapple bash. Good stuff, wish I could get this more often.

12oz bottle. Pours a golden copper color with 1in. off white somewhat sustaining head that left good lacing. Aroma is spicy and fruity hops. The flavor is dominated by the fruit and spice and balanced well with a nice dry malt in the middle. Medium body with excellent dry texture and lively carbonation. An awsome tasteing well priced IPA. I will certainly enjoy more of this brew.

Bottle, courtesy Gillard. Golden straw pour, fuzzy white head, tons of lacing. Big hops in the nose, tea, citrus, vanilla, some smooth pineapple. Big hop flavors, soft and creamy citrus, vanilla. So smooth and drinkable, very crisp. Could drink a dozen of these.
