Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

I love IPA’s and this is definitly a good example of one. Poured fantastically with great lacing. Very full body with strong hop finish. Fantastic.

Bottled. Sampled at Delirium Café, Göteborg. It was about time Håkan at Delirium got hands on American quality beers. Light amber colour, good steady head. Big US hops in the aroma, with notes of citrus and rubber. Smooth mouthfeel, not super malty, with notes of mandarine, grape and citrus. The bitterness was much lower than expected. Maybe bottle was not all fresh? Loads of flavouring hops though.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2007 Bottle from Utobeer. Copper colour with thin white head. Nicely aromatic US hop aroma, with a cross between grapefruit and tea. Fine in mouth, bit lacking in structure and malt balance, but hey. Finish is unsurprisingly zingy and hoppy with grapefruit and more tea. I mean yeah, it’s nice. Difficult to get a character in a beer so richly hopped 3.6/5 Re-rate 11/07/07 Bottle at Brew Wharf, Borough. Lovely beer. Lovely grapefruit hop aroma and excellent bitterness on finish. Really impressed.

Bottle. Pours a pale amber with a white foamy head that leaves little lacing. The aroma is a sweet hops with citrus and pine accents. The flavor lives up to the aroma with an evident sweetness and pine overtones. The finish is mildly bitter, but it lingers well and combined with a crisp clean finish makes this very drinkable.

The aroma was fruitily hoppy with hints of citrus/apricot. The appearance was yellow-orange. The flavor was lightly sweet up front with a hoppy, pine cone-like finish with a lingering aftertaste - just the way I like it!!! The mouthfeel was pleasantly fizzy on the tip of my tongue and medium bodied. Overal a nice IPA.

Bottle. Pours hazy light orange/amber with a good white head. Aroma is mildly floral and citrus. Flavor is same with nice bitterness and a slightly sweet background. Goes down extremely easy. Finish is nice, crisp and bitter but not overpowering. Very good.

Hokey smokes; already on the ninth of the night. Not feeling woozy yet but definitely more relaxed. I’ve heard good things of this Goose Island. I would like to confirm the word of those who speak of this fine brewery. Well-balanced IPA with the malts playing along with the main attraction of the hops.

Draft Wrigleyville: Light golden color, some floral and citrus in it it. It’s a solid IPA.

Has a pleasant, mild hoppy aroma to it. Decent golden amber color with a light head. Wonderful hoppy flavor, I quite enjoyed it. Has a good body, texture, and carbonation. Overall, a pretty good IPA.
