Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

One of Goose Island better general beers. GI is a solid if unspectacular brewery, but this oneís quite nice. A hazy gold with a nice white head, decent lacing. Floral aroma, nice bitter hop flavor, plenty of malt. Itís a standard but well done IPA. Quite drinkable.

A solid IPA. The hop complexity is low, but its not thin, for sure. There is a solid bitter presence as a backbone, which I appreciate. Could use some more aroma hops. Overall, its pretty well balanced and drinkable. Nothing offensive I can find about it. Enjoyable.

Pours a hazy amber-orange with a loose, frothy, off-white head and a jellyfish-like, cloudy yeast formation at the center of the glass. The aroma is of biscuity malt backed by floral and lightly fruity hop notes. On the light side of medium-bodied and silky-slick, the mouthfeel finishes with a moderately bitter, tongue-squeezing finish. Itís a bit thinner than many IPAs, but it is also amazingly quaffable for the style. Pale malt with a light biscuit note, backed by bitter, floral hops. This is a nice, hoppy treat and is extremely drinkable. I was fairly impressed by this one.

Bottle. [thank you, Yngwie]
Pours a nice hazy pale amber with a 2 cm thich creamy white head on top. Wonderful lacing in big blotches. Aroma is strong, with lots of pine hops, mixing with caramel, grapefruit, light roastiness. Low to medium carbonation and a rather creamy feel. Flavour is relatively sweet at first, lots of caramel and herbal hoppy sweetness. Middle is dry and pine-like hoppy, before a long lingering dry aftertaste of fruity hops mixed with that light roast that appeared in the aroma as well.

A hazy pale amber beer with a lasting white head. Hop aromas are grassy and slightly spicy. The malty aroma is of fresh sweet wort. Both play a big part which is great. a very creamy mouth feel, the carbonation is pretty much perfect for the beer. Awesome balance for my palate at least. Distinctly american but also tradtional in many ways.

Clear gold with a frothy white head. Excellent hop aroma with pine, apricot and mango. Pleasant tropical fruit hop flavor with some grassiness detracting. A little thin in body. Also, there is a distinct metallic note in the finish. Not a bas IPA but not one I would seek out.

Pours honey color with small off white head. Very sweet aroma of citrus and malt. Moderate hop bitterness throughout with a long finish. Other flavors of strong maltyness and fruit. Light to moderate body with a dry finish. Descent IPA.

Pours a very lightly hazy orange-gold color. A frothy, off-white head leaves behind thick, sticky cobwebs of lacing. Aromas are very malty, with buttery toffee laying the sweet groundwork for orange citrus hops. Thereís a touch of creaminess and a fresh floral element to the nose as well. Flavors are again malt dominant, yet sufficiently bitter from the citrus hops. Toffee and butter really shine here, right up until the sharp bitter finish kicks in. Medium bodied and slightly syrupy, though not cloying. This is a pretty nice brew, but nothing to get too excited about.

Pours a light golden color with a frothy creamy head that stays for a while. Nice hoppy taste with a little bit of a sour hoppy after taste. I will buy this beer again.
