3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On the teeter-totter of pine versus grapefruit, pine won this one. So much so, in fact, that my bottle was actually infested by the southern pine beetle. Unfortunately, piney IPAs are becoming rarer and rarer due to the affection of this peculiar insect for the resinous, bitter aroma of Pinus virginiana. Luckily, I detected no sawflies, so I plunged into the glass with the fervor of a child opening Christmas presents. And it was good. Comes across as a lighter-bodied cousin of DFH 90 Minute IPA. Aroma is piney, and the flavor is dynamic bitter hops and crisp malts. Solid.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
This was my first IPA and I guess I am not a fan of this style. Did nothing for me, I didnt like the sour-ness. someone mentioned Black currants, and that hit it on the head, tastes like gasoline to me. It did, however, have a nice pour. I will not give up on the IPA thing, maybe after a couple more I can get a taste for it.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light amber color, frothy head. Strong hops and grapefruit aroma. Blackcurrant. Oily hoppy flavor with blackcurrant and a bit of citrus. Hoppy, oily aftertaste. Very nice beer, big in aroma and taste, but maybe just a bit onedimensional.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Amber in color with an ample off white head. Aroma is floral and heavy hop. Flavor is slightly malt with an excellent smack of hops. Finish is somewhat dry with a smooth hops bite. An excellent brew.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Got a 6 of this while visiting my brother in Chicago. Filled with strong hops (if not a little artificial). A very good beer for its price.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from the bottle a pure golden color with a big fluffy white head. Floral aroma immediately filled my nose, and the hops create a fruity flavor and a nice finish. A treat to have - thanks to my friend timdanchanta who found this one on a recent trip to the Windy City.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow this is pretty good.
I agree that if it wasn't for other truely outstanding IPA's such as Three Floyds Dreadnaught, this would be at the top of the list. It's close to it though. Has a nice aroma, poured nice dark golden color with a slight head remaining through the glass. Nice lacing along the way as well. Great flavor with hints of grapefruit. Good carbonation. This is another outstanding beer that you must try if you like IPAs, which are now part of my favorites list as I seem to have been getting really good ones lately. Do not pass Go, Just GO, and get some of this.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is good beer, just not great beer. If it weren't for all the truly outstanding IPAs I've had lately, I would probably be excited by this IPA. The aroma is hops, not in huge amounts, but pleasent all the same. Beer pours dark golden with nice thick head. The head is retained throughout and there is heavy lacing. Flavor is good, nice hop bitterness, but it seems to play out a bit too soon. I also think this IPA lacks a true alcohol punch.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this one at the brew pub right down the street from Wrigley Field. I was pleasantly surprised by this IPA. Nice fruity aroma. Starts lightly on the palate with a burst of hops in the end. Long and tasty finish.
