Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop loverís dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one youíll remember.

Bottle picked up at Tuckers Maltings, Newton Abbot,, Devon 14-11-06 had the same evening. Poured a warm golden colour, this was a super crisp refreshing hoppy beer, with great citrusy flavours very impressive, I liked this a lot and have had this before but forgot how good it was.

aroma of sweet pine; pours a dark cloudy gold; flavor is a bold bitter but works as a session beer also. I love this beer, it has a great flavor and the hop resins linger on and on. This and the New Glarus IPA make living in the midwest alot less depressing.

12 oz bottle via shigadeyo (thanks Craig!). Chilled 2 hours. This pours a clear copper with an average white head. Nose is mostly citrus, lemon, grapefuit and grass. Taste is mostly grapefruit and grassy hops. Very thin body, watery mouthfeel. A bit below average for an IPA...

A Mes rate: 35.5cl bottle from Wine of Course. Typically american IPA and therefore not something I particularly care for. Very aromatic and hoppy all round. Lots of citrus and... oh my god I am bored. Something tarty about it too. And tarty in an unpleasant way. Donít see any reason to make a fuss over this. Well crafted but boring.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2007 Iíve had this in bottle and on tap at the brewpub. Both were excellent. Draught at the brew pub (Clybourn location). Clear orange color with bubbly white head that laced the glass. Attractive citrusy hop aroma with assertive grapefruity hop flavor supported by a malty caramel backbone. Dry on the tongue with lingering hop bitterness. Delicious.

Beautiful hasy medium amber body. Average head with good lacing. Aroma was very hoppy, herbs, grapefruit and some light pine. Flavors of walnuts, caramel, toffee, and light grain. Bittersweet up front, sweet finish. Medium body, dry, and slightly metallic finish. This was a very tasty IPA. Flying Dog does it better, but this is one of my favorites. I will be getting more of this.

12oz - Aroma is weird: soapy, grassy with some piney hops. Pours transparent copper with a small head and decent lacing. Flavor is not as soapy as aroma and has much more hop bitterness with a strong malt profile. Palate is tart and creamy. Not bad, but not great.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2007 Bottle. Orangish pour, hazier than I would have expected. Smells the hops right away on the pour with oranges and lemons. Good full body, slight bitter finish. Very refreshing IPA.

Slightly hazy orange golden with white head. The aroma is a bit spicy, with citrus hops predominating. The aroma suggests bitter spicyness, yet itís somewhat sweet for an IPA. Honeyish malt backbone with a subtle orangey light hop finish. Nice IPA, yet the bitterness is very low and the sweetness may be almost too much considering itís low dryness. But itís still a nice IPA.
